Time dove in front of Katie knocking her to the side, and catching her nightdress in the lake. "Hey!" Katie yelled, "What was that for?" "That," Time replied smugly "I just saved your damn life, Is it worth a thank you?" She sighed heavily afterwards. "What, by pushing me in a lake?" Katie replied, venom laced within her words. "Oh you mortals, jeez, The blue moon rose can only be touched by one who is never ending much like the flower." "Could have told me earlier," Katie mumbled. Time rolled her eyes and mumbled something that Katie couldn't hear "I was only trying to stop you from finding out you could pick it up," Again, Katie couldn't hear her, as Time ran towards her brothers 4 story home and dragged Katie with her. This time, she knocked at the door instead of just opening it, Katie thought it was odd, but then again, Time had a way with knowing what to do. The door sprung open and a woman answered, she shared the same features as Time, the same brown hair, the same pale complexion. Time put her head down as if she was ashamed, but before she could defend herself, the womans gaze fell upon Katie's. "Oh my! Is that -" Time suddenly started yelling over the woman, who Katie remembered from earlier, so it must have been Time's mother. "I can explain! She doesn't know, don't mention it at all."
Katie was left sat in the living room, of Aries' house, but the sarcastic boy wasn't there, she assumed that he'd gone somewhere else to make the potion so she didn't interfere. Time had gone into one of the rooms on the side, to discuss with her mother, about - well, Katie didn't really know. As easy and simple as it might be to them, she was new to this, and had no idea what anything was or what purpose it served. She just thought that Time was talking about "the secret" that she wanted to tell her later on, when her family were back. A click could be heard faintly as Time emerged from the door. "Okay, Katie, don't worry nothing is wrong, we think it would be best to explain it to both you and your family, so we will wait for my brother to finish the potion. So we need to take this flower to him," She spoke holding up the glistening blue moon rose. "Okay, well. Where is he?" She asked the girl who still had shock painted across her face. "He's in the cottage, you know, your house?" Katie nodded. "Yeah, well lets get going then!" "Katie, we can't, the blue moon rose will wilt in the sun, it only blossoms in the dark. Hence the name," Katie rolled her eyes "Are you joking?" Time shook her head, "Really, we could just cover it with a blanket?" Katie suggested. "No, you see it thrives of off the moonlight, if we cover it with a blanket, it'll know it's in the sun. The plants here, they have a mind of their own, literally." Katie had no doubt that Time was telling the truth, "So, what are we to do now?" Time walked over to the sofa and sat down, "Well, there's not much we can do, we will just have to wait." Katie rolled her eyes and flopped back on the sofa. "What time is it now?"
"It's quarter past Earth," A look of pure confusion crossed Katie's features, "A what?" "Ohhhh, sorry, in your world that means quarter past three," Katie groaned, "So, in your world when is it nightfall?" She asked, her voiced filled with sarcasm. "Quarter to Satur- Six, I meant six," She managed to swiftly correct herself. "Three hours, wonderful. But it was night when we got the rose, how come its daylight in a span of an hour?" Time gazed at her, "Our hours are longer, you don't feel it because you've been here a while now, but at first, it's very obvious that time is going slower." Katie sighed in relief, "So in my worlds' hours how long do we have to wait?" "Five" She spoke. "Great." Katie said sarcastically.
