Aries spoke, the air of elegance that usually accompanied him was gone and replaced by one of nervousness. "That night, you, the baby was asleep in a crib in this house, I could hear, what I thought was Time, messing about with the crib, and it was really late, around twenty to Charon, so I walked into the room really quietly, not wanting to wake you, when this person in a dark cloak picked you up and set a spell to split up and combine the two worlds, of immortality and mortality, and you are the being that binds them. I didn't want to make myself heard, I could sense the magic being used was very dark magic. I followed the being into the mortal world and, as I had never been there, I was looking around to find clues as to where we were. The hooded figure ran at an inhuman speed. It dashed into the woods, which I recognised well. I ran to the hooded figure as it began to knock on the door of a cabin, one like this one, but slightly more modern. The door opened as the snowflakes danced around, and a woman answered the door, the only thing that I saw now will probably, undoubtedly shock you, and I'm so sorry that I didn't recognise my baby sister. All I'll say, for now, is one of the members of your mortal family is a traitor." The word mortal rolled off his tongue with pure disgust. He cared for his family. Whether he showed it well or not. Even as many as twelve years later, he was still angry at her family for taking her from her real blood family. He glared at her parents with anger in his eyes. Matthew began to tear up. "Jeez, mortal, what is wrong with you?" Katie sighed and hugged her not-sure-if-he-was brother. "Matthew, it's fine, don't worry," Matthew suddenly spoke up "So you just believe him? Katie, you don't know him! He's a liar. It's all so stupid. Katie, we love you, you ARE my sister. It isn't true, Katie, you have to believe me. Katie, he's a liar. Why can't you see that?" Katie shushed him. "Matthew, I grew up with you, and 'our parents' just admitted to it, well at least enough to say that his argument is true, why don't you think they've interrupted him by now? It's because they would incriminate themselves, you see the one that interrupts, the suspicion would be placed to them. Matthew, whether you are or are not my real brother, I promise you I always will love you as if you are."  Katie's mother began to look perplexed. "Hang on, didn't you say, that one of us did that? We d-didn't do anyt-thing at a-all!" Her mother began shouting defensively. "Now, Jackie. I know you did. I watched everything happened, I don't want my baby sister to know the people she grew up with are crooks. But I have to say. I owe it to her. But I'll give you all a chance to confess. Who took my baby sister from her crib that night twelve years ago?" Anger laced venomously with sarcasm was plain in his voice. Katie didn't believe anyone would answer, it's almost as if you were being told off, you weren't supposed to answer. Well, at least that's what Katie thought, but again, this is another world. So naturally, Katie was wrong. "I-I-I di-d-d it," Katie swung around to see who had admitted to this crime.

Authors Note:

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and the cliffhanger. I just wanted to note that Charon is the 12th planet away from the sun. So, I'm using this to determine the time of that world. I'll leave a note underneath this if you want to know the other times. I do have a specific storyline for this book, but it can be changed if it could be more enjoyable with certain interactions. I am open to criticism, so feel free to state your opinions. Please tell me what you like/dislike about it, so I can improve. Please tell me if I've made any spelling/punctuation mistakes. I draw all my own covers and other artwork is done by me unless clearly stated otherwise. Feel free to let me know if you want me to write different genres as well. Just another reminder that I write all my own original stories. ~Thanks
