My Wedding (Part 2)

Two years ago, I thought I couldn't make this day possible. I thought I wouldn't be good enough to be loved, to love someone.

I knew and know that God loves me and has a beautiful plan for me but for a man to love me? Who would?

And then miraculously, at my sister's wedding, I found him. Or more accurately, God brought us back together.

Today I'm proudly looking around at all the people, the decorations, the things I've prepared, of course with the help of my sister.

I steal a glance at her and Harold and their two little kids.

She gives me an encouraging smile that boosts my already elated and grateful feeling.

"And do you, May Heather, take Eric Lawson to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The pastor asks.

"I do." I reply with a giddy smile.

"I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Eric lifts the veil and kisses me softly. I never thought I'd get to feel this. All of this.

The rest of the night goes by too fast and I can't believe I'm married and now Mrs. Lawson.

"How do you feel?" Macy asks, linking her arm through mine while Harold and Eric hold onto the children.

We walk to our rooms in this same hotel where she got married.

"It's amazing. Hasn't really sunk in though." I admit softly.

She laughs. "Well, you'll have to get used to it. You're stuck together for life after all."

I laugh along with her and glance back at my husband.

"I wouldn't ask for anything better."
