Katherine

I spend all of Sunday in bed. I do my homework, eat food, and watch Friends. It was a pretty nice day until I heard thumping music come from Stryder's room around four. I let it slide for a good three hours but then the clock turned seven and it was getting really annoying. I get up, storm to his door, then knock loudly. The music doesn't stop, but I hear shuffling come from the other side. I stand back as Stryder opens the door. First thing I notice, he's shirtless and oh my god hot. I shake my head, he has a girlfriend. "Could you please turn the music off? It's seven and I'm just trying to relax and watch t.v." He's breathless as he smiles down at me.

"Babeee," I hear Vanessa call him. My eyes widen as I realize what they're doing. He smirks and I shake my head, turning around and marching right back to my room. I close the door and I wipe the thought from my head. "Agh," I say as I shake the feeling. I get back into the bed and turn the volume up. Two hours pass and my eyes start to flutter close. Before they can fully shut, my door opens. I let out a quiet groan. "Hey," He says slowly. I roll eyes, sitting up. "Hi," I say groggily. He laughs, messing up my hair even more.

"The fact you're tired at nine at night is funny." I don't respond. He takes a sharp intake of breath. "Alright, what Vanessa and I do, my mom doesn't know about. If you could keep quiet, it'd be helpful." I pretend to throw up and he nods laughing. "I wouldn't tell her anyway, you weirdo. What am I supposed to do? Go, 'Hey Anna, in case you were wondering, Stryder has sex with his girlfriend, in his room, on his bed. Bye,' yeah because that's normal." He lets out a laugh from the bottom of his throat. My chest warms as I was the cause of this hearty laugh.

"Okay and I know it must've been awkward because you've never done it but," I look at him with an incredulous look. "You really think I'm a virgin?" He nods smiling sheepishly. I smack his shoulder. "I'll have you know, Gunner and I, did it often." I hear my dad gasp from the door and my heart stops as my face pails. Stryder bursts into laughter. "Gosh shorty, I didn't need to know that. Anyway, thanks for the tip, see you later," He calls out in a fake tone. I shoot him a glare. If looks could kill, he'd be dead. He smiles as he leaves the room. "Hey, Mr. Hart." He waves going back to his room.

"Katherine Gemma Hart," My dad says in a fatherly tone. I cringe, sinking into my bed sheets.

As I get into the car, Stryder takes longer than usual. After five minutes I start panicking. We're going to be late. I leave my bag but get out of the car. I go back into the house, starting in the kitchen. "Is Stryder here?" I ask Anna. She gives me a curious look but shakes her head. I let out an exasperated grunt. I run up the stairs to his room. I knock on the door, nothing. I open the door to see his bed unmade and his clothes sprawled all over the room. I go to the bathroom to see him fixing his shirt. "God, what the hell are you doing Stryder?! We're going to be late!" I must've startled him because as he hears my voice he jumps, tripping and falling onto his ass. I take his hands and try my hardest to pull him to his feet. "Today's mine and Vanessa's one year anniversary. I want to look nice so I can surprise her."

I look at my phone. "Well, now you have no time." He sighs. I help him fix his collar and hair. "You look fine, I'm sure she'll appreciate the effort." He looks at me. "She really won't, but I can at least try." I look at him sadly. He ignores the look, leaving the bathroom. I follow behind him. He grabs his bag and runs down the stairs. I do too and we wave to Anna before racing to his car. As we get in, we have fifteen minutes before our first class starts.

He speeds onto the main road. Ten minutes later, we park, running out of the car, and into the empty parking lot. We race through the front doors and to our math class. We make it ten seconds before the bell rings. I swing the door open, running inside, Stryder right behind me. We run to our seats and we're seated as our teacher walks in and the bell rings. I pretend to wipe the sweat off my forehead as Stryder looks at me and smirks. We laugh as the teacher starts talking. Autumn taps my shoulder, giving me a look of confusion.
