It was March and we were all heading over to Mila's house for her birthday party. Zoe and her siblings were also gonna be there along with y/n's kids and Zander's kids. I loved seeing them all, they were all so adorable. I was in the bathroom putting my makeup on when I felt arms snake around my waist.
"Babe you look beautiful as always" Zoe told me as she softly kissed my neck
"Mmmm you look pretty good yourself" I replied as I closed my eyes and relaxed in her hold
"I love you" Zoe said. I was shocked by her words. It was the first time she said it since I came back. I turned around in her arms and looked directly into her eyes. I placed my lips on hers and gave her a passionate kiss pouring all my love for her into in. I pulled away and looked into her eyes again.
"I love you too" I said with a smile. She smiled back at me and pulled me into another kiss. I was happy, she made me happy, I couldn't imagine life without her.
"I will leave you to finish getting ready" she said as she walked out of the bathroom. I smiled to myself and continued to get ready.

Zoe and I had made it to Mila's house and we were the last ones there by the looks of it. We walked in hand in hand and were greeted by Olly and Anna. They came and hugged the both of us and laughed then ran off. I smiled as they ran back into the backyard and found Xavier and Lilly. I watched them a little longer and I noticed a man out there talking to Mila's mum that I didn't recognise. I didn't think too much of it, thinking it was a new friend of Mila's.
Zoe left me to go and say hi to Dom while I made my way to the kitchen to try and find the girls. They were all in there conversing and laughing. I went up behind Mila and gave her a big hug and wished her a happy birthday. She squealed and turned in my grasp and wrapped her arms around my neck. I picked her up and squeezed her. I placed her back down and went and said hello to the other girls.
We talked in the kitchen for about half an hour. Mila excused herself five minutes ago and hadn't returned.
"Can I please have everyone in the living room" we heard Camila practically shout. We all shuffled into the living room and we saw that she was standing on her coffee table. I was confused as to what she was about to do but was keen to hear what she had to say.
"Okay so I have been wanting to tell everyone this for a while now but there hasn't seem to be a right time until now. About two years ago at one of my interviews I bumped into someone pretty special. We really hit it off and about 3 weeks later he asked me to be his girlfriend. I of course said yes and he is here today. Hudson could you please come here" she announced to everyone and the man I saw earlier emerged from the crowd and made his way to Camila. He helped her down and she gave him a quick kiss on the lips. Everyone cheered and clapped. I saw Lauren looking down out of the corner of my eye.
I walked over to her as everyone started to disperse and go and congratulate Camila. I pulled Lauren outside and we sat down on the chair that was swinging on the deck. We sat in silence for a couple of minutes until I spoke up.
"Are you okay Lo?" I asked as I looked over to her. She kept looking forward and sighed
"It's y/n. I want her to be mine again but I fucked up the first time and she just lost her almost husband and I don't want to move in too fast but I love her so much. I never did stop. I fucking hated what management made us do. I lost the love of my life because of it and now she is a single parent to four kids. No one should have to go through that alone DJ." Lauren said all at once as a tear escaped her eye. I pulled her into a hug and wiped her tears away. She snuggled into my embrace as I ran my hand through her hair.
"Just give her a little time and be there for her and help where you can, it is the most you can do right now" I told her as she calmed down.
We were just sitting in silence until I heard the front door open. I looked over and saw it was y/n. I smiled at her and she made her way over.
"Can I talk to Lauren please?" She asked as she stood in front of us. I nodded and stood up and walked back inside. I hope that talk is a good one.
❂Lauren's POV❂
y/n sat down next to me and I smiled at her and she returned it. We stared into each others eyes for what seemed like forever until she broke the silence.
"I heard your conversation with Dinah" she revealed. I looked away ashamed of not being more secretive. She grabbed my chin gently and mad me look at her.
"I want you to Lauren I really do but I just need time. I need time to find myself and know what I want in life. This isn't me telling you that I don't want your help because I really do, I don't think I will be able to survive on my own" she told me and let out a little giggle at the end. That sound was music to my ears and I smiled at her.
"I will give you all the time you need. I will help you when you need me, don't be afraid to call" I replied back to her with a smile. She smiled back to me and I was in heaven. I still had a chance with her.

There were still a few of us left and we were all sitting around the little campfire Camz had in her backyard. It was Camz, Hudson, Dinah, Zoe, Mani and Dom still left. y/n, Zander and Hailee all left to go and put their kids to bed. Zander and Hailee were taking Olly and Anna from y/n for the night and y/n couldn't be more relived.
Camz was huddled up to Hudson and I couldn't be happier for her, she had finally found someone to love her. We were all just talking about noting in particular and it was nice as to how well everyone got along. I felt my phone buzz and looked at the notification that y/n had posted to Instagram. I smiled at her post of Grace and Violet. She was the best mum I have ever seen, she handles all four kids so well it is actually crazy. She was a super mum and I loved how much she loved each of her children.

My two little nuggets fell asleep before I could put them to bed. I love them with all of my heart 💞
I liked the photo and locked my phone and re-entered the conversation with a smile on my face knowing that one day I will have her back in my arms where she should have been six years ago.
