5) To a Gloomy Evening

Max , Drake , Eric , Amy , Hans and Jake were a bunch of weirdos . But they were the most important people in my life . I could not possibly think of my life without them .

Hans and Jake were not close to others as they were with me . But we made sure that we celebrate our happiest moments together .

Since we were six , I used to share everything with Drake . But I never thought that a day would come when we would be hiding our deepest secrets from each other .

It was a Monday morning , I skipped the school as I was suffering from cold . The following evening everyone visited me except Hannah 'cause she had to look after Jake .

"Look what I have for you !" Amy said while showing a box of ice - cream . It was really a big box , indeed .

"You are not helping !" I said , making a grumpy face .

"Don't worry , we will have it all ." Drake laughed .

"Drake , you ..." I was about to shout at Drake but I stopped myself .

Amy knew the reason behind the change in my behaviour . Breaking the silence , Amy continued " I think we should play something to change Ellie's mood ."

Eric suggested to call spirits through Ouija Board .

It was such a bad idea that no one agreed .

Amy asked "Max , please suggest something so that we all can have a merry time at least ."

Max quickly answered "I can't think of anything Amy , but we can play truth or dare ."

Everyone was left with no option and agreed to Max .

Eric arranged a bottle and we had this wood piece from my old study table which we used as a base for spinning the bottle .

We managed to grab our places on the bed without a freaking war , for the first time - me sitting right in front of Drake and everyone else around us .

Max spun the bottle . All of us were waiting curiously for it to stop . After sometime , it stopped pointing at Amy .

"Ugh ! What do you guys want me to do ?" Amy said making a slugged face .

Drake jumped out of the bed to close the door so that my parents could not hear anything and asked Amy to call her boyfriend and tell him she wanted to break up .

Amy's face turned pale . She was astounded after hearing that . " Listen , guys I can't do this ."

"You should have thought of it before playing ." said Eric .

"It's not a big deal !" Drake murmured .

I could see Amy's hand shaking . I grabbed her arm and said "Hey , chill girl ! He knows you love him . After all , it's just a prank ."

Amy looked into my eyes . Her face was blank . No expressions at all . She dialed his number . Max turned on the speaker . We heard Chris's voice from the other side of the phone .

"Hello ! Amy ..."

"Hey Chris , how you doing ?" Amy asked with a low voice .

"I'm doing ...um good , I guess . What about you ?"

Everyone asked Amy to initiate the break up making weird sounds and actions .

"Chris , I wanted to tell you something ."

"Yeah ? Go on ."

"I want to break up with you ."

" Wait , what ? But we already broke up last night ."

Amy immediately hung up the phone . There was an odd silence in the room .
