It was one of the weirdest things I had ever experienced, but I felt comfortable in my new body. At the same time, I was really worried about how I knew how to move around as a wolf, even with no practice. Then, like a flash, it hit me. The scientists. They erased our memories. I had done this before, I just couldn't remember. Then, still running, I tried to call up a memory, any memory, really. But what surfaced was not what I wanted. There were screams, a little girl calling me, "Sienna, Sienna!" It cried, the voice filled with so much fear. My legs gave out, and I landed on my face, my muzzle getting hurried in the dirt. Eric yelled, and I heard a loud think as he hit a nearby tree. Then, without warning, it began:

She was calling for me, scared and in fear for her life. She screamed my name, and a little girl's face appeared in my memory. Her little blonde head was turned red, matted with blood. The voice rang in my ears, as I cradled the small body in my arms. Then, there was a aching pain in my body, and I felt like I was going to combust. It was wave after wave of excruciating pain"Sienna!" A voice called.

"SIENNA!" Esther's voice rang through my head, interrupting the memory.

I looked up, tears stinging my eyes still. She was looking at me like I just came back from the dead. I tried to tell her that I was okay, but my face wouldn't move, and my throat closed up. Cold salty tears spilled down my face. Esther looked even more concerned, but looked over to her left, and a figure came over to me. Somehow, with all that was going on in my head, I still knew Eric when I saw him. He wasn't invisible anymore. And somehow, at the sight of him, the tears all burst forth. I buried my face in my hands, and Eric took me into his arms. I sobbed into his chest as Esther covered me with a bit of cloth.

I glanced down and saw that I was human again. My pale hands rose at my command, and I knew I was me again. I continued to sob for what felt like forever, but neither Eric nor Esther moved. They stayed beside me, and I was thankful for it. I'm sure that I fell asleep at some point, because I woke up and Eric was carrying me through the forests with Esther beside him. In my sense of security, I dozed back off.
