"Well, well, Harlyn Hunter." Damian said as he saw him walking out from the house. "He's got a new chic?" Darren said, as he stand next to Damian. "He's... I wonder how Hadrian feels about this. I'm glad he choose to be a vampire... I bumped into her before and, he's gorgeous." Damian said, as his eyes still lingering at Harlyn. "We were human once... Remember that, my brother..." He left him as he pat on his shoulder.

"Dad scares him away.." You said to your mum. She's still chewing the salad in her mouth. "Because your dad know him. He's different honey."

Different?

"What do you mean by that? He's normal though." You said. You thought that your mum going to laugh after what she said but nope. "He's a vampire."

You looked at her as you narrowed your eyes. "What? You must be kidding me! I don't want to die.." You added. "Well, forget bout that. I don't want to die either." She finally laughing this time. It creeps you out, but you're glad it's not true. You do believe in those vampire, werewolves or alien, but, it's 2019.

"Mum. If you give me that serious look again... I'm going to have a heart attack.."

Hadrian : Sista, how you doing?

Yes, Hadrian. This is the first time in awhile he text you. He's your brother but, you don't know where the hell he went. Even your parents don't want to tell you about him."It's Hadrian, mum."

"Oh shit. Here comes trouble." She mumbled but you can clearly hear it.

"Well, I know Hadrian is a trouble but, what does-

"Just go upstairs. I've to take this call."

You have to know everything. You're almost 23 and, Hadrian is a part of your family. You sit on the couch just not far from the kitchen. "Hadrian. Don't ever try to do something stupid!!" She put it on the loudspeaker. You keep doing your thing which is eavesdropping of your mum and your brother conversation.

"Mum.. What if Harlyn hurt her? I know that she likes him but, she's still consider as a human eventhough she's half vampire.... Yes, I choose this life of vampire and I don't want her to go through all of the things that I have went through... She deserves to be with a normal human guy.... I know Harlyn family, they don't care bout the tradition anymore, but, Helena means everything to me... She's the only sister that I've... "

You haven't met your brother for almost 10 years. You never know who is he married to, where did he lived and how his life now... You know nothing about him. NOTHING.

"I know but can you leave your favorite sister alone? Let her have a boyfriend... Even though, Harlyn is a vampire... She got a calling, Hadrian... That's why I let her to be with him... "

You dropped your phone as you heard
the conversation. It's not something that you're expected to hear but, this is just not what you expected to be.

"Wait."Your mum said.

You quickly lay down on the couch and act like you're sleeping."It's your sister phone... Well, I'll talk you later..." She said.

"Ah huh." You let out a sigh of relieved after your mum make her way to the kitchen. "DID U HEARD IT? ALL OF IT??! HELENA!!!" Yes, that's her voice. She's literally yelling from the kitchen.

You're running this time, just to have a conversation with your mum in the kitchen. You're going to be in a serious trouble if you don't show up in 5 minutes. Or you're going to be dead.

"I'm... I heard it, mum. From A to Z... Why didn't you told me everything? You know I'm a curious child." You said to her. "I'm afraid that you're going to be mad at me.. Or your dad... You know, as a mum, seeing her daughter upset or mad, breaks my heart...."

"Mum. Just tell everything."

"I met your dad while I had a camping with my friends. I had to go the toilet and it was so dark. I ended up bumping into him that's standing right behind me.. He's wearing black leather jacket. He's got a strong musk scent. His eyes is green in colour, emerald green eyes. Just by staring into his eyes got me hypnotised. He gives me his number after that and we went on several dates. On the day of our wedding, only his mum showed up. His family was against the wedding but, your dad has a deal with his family. That's why I'm married to him."
