Chapter 14

Hi guys. I can’t tell you how sorry I am and how bad I feel about not uploading in forever. I can understand the annoyance that some of y’all might be feeling because I personally dislike when writers never update. I’m actually starting a really important course in my education, which I’d rather not share with you guys. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned my age, but I hope not and I prefer not to share that piece of information either because I know that a lot of people that read fanfics have a certain standard of age when it comes to writing fanfictions, for instance, mostly people who write fanfics are in college or seniors in high school and people either above or below that age group can tend to be judged for their age so I’m not going to be sharing my age anytime soon.

But anyways, please enjoy this chapter!

Quick recap:

“‘But, okay. I’ll try. Alright?’ he offered.

‘Thank you, Liam.’”

Louis’s POV

It’s been a week since Liam decided to help me out with this Eleanor stuff. Luckily, he’s the only one who knows. I’d feel way too embarrassed if everyone else knew.

“Louis, if you don’t come down now you’ll be late for school!” I groaned.

“Yes, mum,” I replied

After walking down the stairs, kissing my mum and sisters goodbye, I made my way to school.

Before walking into school, I went by a particular school bus. The doors opened and out walked the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.

“I swear to God,” she said, “this is the best book I’ve ever read.”

Pretty and smart, I thought, what are the odds of finding a girl like that ever again?

“Fine, Eleanor,” Danielle sighed, “I’ll read it. But no spoilers!”

“Why would there be? You know I never spoil anything!” she replied before they both bursted into laughter.

“Hey Louis,” Danielle greeted me.

“Hey,” I mumbled. Eleanor brushed her hair away from her face. Her eyes glanced up from me as she spoke.

“Hi.”

I couldn’t stop staring at her. It was as if she was cocaine; I was addicted to her.

I muttered another greeting before quickly walking to class. Running through the doors, I stopped to catch my breath before saying hello to Harry.

“So,” he said as soon as I sat down. “I hear you like someone.”

I choked on my own saliva.

“What?” Did Liam tell him something?

“C’mon,” Harry begged, jumping onto a table, his legs dangling off the edge, “it’s so obvious! You blush all the time now. And you never blush. Tell me who it is.”

“It doesn’t even matter,” I informed him.

“Telllll meeee,” Harry whined, poking me in the arm nonstop.

“Stop it, okay? Nothing’s ever going to happen anyways. She doesn’t feel the same way and she never will!” I snapped.

He pulled his finger away and looked at me, sympathy in his eyes.

“At least we know it’s a girl,” he joked, making me chuckle.

“A girl that will never like me back,” I reminded him.

Harry leaped off the table and stood in front of me, hands on his hips.

“Stop doubting yourself, alright? Anything’s possible,” he tried to assure me. I scoffed.

“Hey,” he said. “What girl isn’t good enough for you? Tell me her name. I will hunt her down and kick her ass.”

“Please, don’t,” I laughed. “But I’m still not telling you.”

“Fine. But you gotta at least let me guess,” Harry spoke.

I sighed and gave in. “Alright, alright. But only one guess.”

“Yes!” Harry cheered. He cleared his throat. “Hmmm who could it be?” he said sarcastically.

“Eleanor.” My jaw dropped to the floor. I swear that Liam told him.

“How…? How did you know that?” I asked him, stuttering.

“I see the way you look at her,” he explained. “You get red every time you pass her in the halls, or when she says hi to you.”

I guess he was right. I mean, now that I think about it, I am making it pretty obvious.

“Do you think that I should just let it go? Forget about her? Date other girls?” I questioned.

“What you should do is,” Harry started to say, “date other people for a bit. Get used to her company. She’ll get to see the real you. Just be friends. Forget about her. If you honestly doubt yourself this much, then why bother? You’re just going to get heartbroken.”

“That’s actually good advice. When’d you become Mr. Sensitive?” I teased.

“I always was.”

I’ve decided to finish writing all the chapters before publishing them (which I have not been able to do because I’ve been busy, as mentioned before, but I do have 2 extra chapters written, so don’t fret (: ). That way, it’ll be done completely and I’ll just upload them once in a while.

NU: Next weekend hopefully
