Dylan's POV

"Excuse us but can we join your table? We can't find any vacant seats." Our conversation was interrupted by a kind voice.

"Sure." I said as I was the one closest to them.

"Thank you! You're life saver." She repeated the same line I used.

"Actually they..." I said pointing at Jill's group. "Also saved us."

"Oh... thank you."

"No worries." Jill replied. "We were actually introducing ourselves when you arrived and I guess we can start again?" We all nodded. "I'm Jill and this is Sam, we're engaged. These are Mia and Nica, they are engaged too."

"I'm Ashley!" My wife started. "This is Dylan, my wife. We just got married yesterday."

"I'm Anna and this is Van, my wife! We also just got married yesterday."

"Wow! Such young ones. You're all in your twenties?" We all nodded. "It's so nice to be young! By the way, I'm Nick and this is my wife Em. We're here to celebrate our Crystal anniversary."

"Hello!" They said while as usual, Van and I just nodded.

"Wow! Fifteen years already! So you were married young?" Anna asked.

"Oh noh... we're at our early forties." Nick replied. "We got married when we were 27."

"You don't look like it!" Anna complimented. It's true, they both look like in their late twenties or just early thirties. They were both very gorgeous. "Since we were all getting to know each other, may I know what do you do?"

"I'm a cop... a homicide detective to be exact." Nick began. "And my wife here's a surgeon. She's an attending." Wow! We got a nice pair here.

"I'm a chef." Anna started. "We owned several restaurant but I don't cook there anymore. My selfish wife here, wanted me all by herself." She joked and Van shrugged. "She's a corporate lawyer." I almost choke upon hearing those words. I've never thought of that. Oh well, I guess the saying don't judge a book by it's cover applied to her.

"Wow! You're a lawyer too!" Jill replied. "Mia here is an ADA. My future wife here's a criminal profiler and Nica's crime tech IT specialist" She then drank her wine before continuing. "I on the other hand is a member of SWAT." So that explains the almost unlimited stamina. "We all work at the same precinct."

"Oh my... we have such great people here." Ashley said. "My wife is a business woman." Of all the occupation here, somehow I felt mine's the most boring. "And I'm also a doctor, but I'm still an intern."

After exchanging pleasantries, we both continued our dinner. Van and I were just quietly eating while our girls were hooked again in another conversation. They don't seem to ran out of topics.

Em was a quiet one. She sometimes giggle or laugh but she doesn't talk much. Nick on the other hand was also in deep conversation with Jill. They must have been exchanging police experience.

However, I can't help but notice that Nick was looking at Anna differently. "I'm sorry Anna, but have I seen you before? You look familiar. Isn't she familiar Em?" She asked her wife.

"She kind of familiar but I don't know." Em replied. "Maybe we bumped into her on one or two occasions.

"Maybe at the spa or hospital." Anna said. "Van tend to get in trouble a lot." She added.

"Oist!" Van retaliated.

"Don't worry Van, my Dylan's a trouble maker too. You both are really a like." Ashley added.
