Another knock sounded on the door. Germany groaned, what the heck could be so important? After a few moments of sulking, Germany turned on his side, directing his gaze towards the window.
"Ah!" He yelped, eyes widening.
He was greeted by the angry stare of his Japanese friend.
The German groaned inwardly. He didn't hate Japan or anything, it wasn't like that; it was that he simply couldn't deal with anyone right now. Germany wallowed for a moment more until Japan tapped the glass in irritation.
"Open. Now." His eyes narrowed, voice muffled from the other side of the glass window and the German frowned but did as he was told so and opened the window a smidge.
Japan's gaze softened, "Herro Mr. Germany."
"Vhat do you vant," Germany muttered, tiredly.
"Vhat I vant," Japan said, mimicking Germany's thick German accent, "is for you to get out of bed! It's been forever and Itary would be very upset to see you acting this way."
Germany was taken aback by Japan's aggression, as he was normally very reserved.
"Oh and I arso want you to ret me in... please." The Japanese individual said, reverting back to his polite nature.
Germany almost smiled, it was refreshing to speak to Japan.
"Fine," the German said, getting up and making a show of his great reluctance.
Germany walked down the hall and to the door to find Japan waiting there. He opened the door and stepped aside to let him inside.
"Thank you," Japan bowed, "I aporigize for my rudeness."
"It's fine..." Germany said, too tired or perhaps too glum to argue.
An awkward silence briefly fell over them, broken by Japan after a moment of glancing about Germany's residence.
"Germany... have you seriousry been living like this?"
Germany followed Japan's gaze to the piled up dishes and laundry as well as the dirty floors and countertops. Germany hadn't the energy to be embarrassed, and just shrugged silently.
Japan frowned at this, "Wirr you ret me help you?"
Germany tilted his head to the side in a questioning manner.
"I can herp you crean up if you'd rike."
Germany silently thanked him for his kindness, "ah... I'd like that."
Japan smiled softly.
~Time-Skip~
It was safe to say that the German didn't expect Japan to be so thorough. Japan had literally made his home sparkle. The countertops were cleaner than Germany had ever seen them, and the dishes were all neatly stacked away in the cabinets. Not only that, but all of his clothes were folded much neater than the German was used to. Typically, he didn't fold them at all and when he did, they were never quite as crisp or neat.
Currently, Germany watched with a puzzled expression as the Japanese male bowed, "thank you for letting me herp you."
Germany cleared his throat, "Vhat do you mean? I should be thanking you."
"Ret is just carr it mutual thanks."
Germany nodded, "I can live vith that."
