Chapter 6: Breakthrough

A few years before...
(In a dreamscape like fashion)
Jake's POV

"Come on Airianna.. Please don't leave.. If you leave now, I'll never forgive myself.." I said with a bit of a wheeze.. Hoping she wouldn't leave..

Realignment of my past was coming back to haunt me.

2024

I awoke in on a cold table numb to everything with a breathing mask on i look left and see a heartbeat monitor and right to see a needle in my arm as a lady extracts my blood, i start to panic before planker came in and calmed me down he sat next to me i asked,

"what happened?"

He looked depressed and kinda just stared he opened his mouth and said,

"We lost you because of some damn trance induced by a escaped scp or Emily one of the two and then we had you in a chamber and then lycans attacked as i predicted but i failed to predict how many it would be we had you in the back of the truck still in your chamber Showell saw you spazzing out and we stopped and checked on you we turned are heads around to see a army of lycans coming over the hill we were both in shock at how many there were but before we could do anything you broke through the glass raised your arm out mumbled something and blasted them all away with massive power then passed out again and we took you here where we have sat for a month without incident"
I was shook and in awe .

"Where's showell?"  Planker smiled and said,

"He was pretty pissed about the whole thing and ran off to gather Intel on Emily's hideout knowing damn well he wont find anything because if she can put you into a trance then she can hide her hideout pretty damn well"
We sat in silence for awhile before i barely managed to mumble out the words.

"I miss Rick", then Planker shook his head and said,

"Me too Jake, me too"

2024

"Jake wake your ass up we gotta go, whatever you did fried the trucks battery"
"Its not gonna work planker just slap him or something"

I was nervous about slapping him mainly because he had just destroyed a army of lycans but i knew i had to do it. So i raised my arm and slapped him hard.
He jolted up and grabbed me by the throat i looked into his eyes and saw nothing his eyes faded into a solid white and glowed like a dim flashlight i tried punching him and kicking and everything but he didn't even budge and before i could grab my gun to shoot him as i feared for my life. Showell tackled Jake and i fell as i got up i watched in horror as Jake with absolute ferocity ripped and smashed showell to shreds i couldn't do anything but stare until there was nothing left but blood.

I watched Jake fall unconscious and i picked him up and walked into the woods, hoping for something good to happen.

January 2028
Mid Evening
Planker's POV'

Jake slept for 6 months before he finally got up and i had to break the news to him about what happened to showell. He cried for a long time and mourned him but after all this time we've both moved past it as we raid abandoned buildings in cities and towns that had their entire populations wiped out by the lycans rampaging around. By now we've stocked up on weapons and Armour for our raid on Emily's base... we just needed to find it. Eventually Jake got a hit on a vampire ritual spotting in north eastern Russia. It had to be it so we gathered our gear and flew to Russia. We airdropped in about 4 miles from the base  and we were nervous. We entered the building and found no one. We walked around the main floor and then found a stair well and walked down it slowly. What we found we couldn't believe. A entire underground fortress. Emily's empire. We walked through a arena, bunking area, what appeared to be a slaughter house, a room that had Rick's name on it we opened it up and saw everything he went through in a few hundred reports we skimmed through. We were horrified. Enough so that Jake vomited but it wasn't enough. I still wouldn't forgive him. I blame him for Showells death. We pushed on and came to a dark room light up by only sunlight. We saw a hooded figure with a sword strapped to his back. Me and Jake aimed our guns at him and I yelled "who are you and where is everyone else" 

The figure turned around and his eye was glowing it was Rick. Jake was shaking as Rick pulled his sword and said "Welcome back...Thank you for delivering yourselves to your own execution" he said that in a deep robotic yet human voice that brought chills to the bone and scared me and Jake both. But soon that fear was overcome by rage. We both charged him shooting at him with our weapons. He blocked them with his sword and his arm. He grabbed Jake by the throat and kicked me to my knees before cracking my head open with a single blow from his metal arm. He then slammed Jake into the wall, sheathed his sword and looked into Jake's eyes and said "im gonna destroy you like you destroyed your friend" before slamming him into the wall and pulling  a knife and stabbing his stomach and let him go to see him fall. He stood over him,grabbed him by the shirt and reared him metal arm back ready to smash him to pieces. I couldn't lose another friend so i grabbed a steel pipe and hit Rick in the back of the head as hard as i could and backed up. He dropped Jake and pulled his sword before we charged each other he swung up top i blocked it and he hits me in the rib with his metal arm and i felt it crack. I swept his legs out from under him and climbed on top of him and hit him in his eye 16 times before he punched me to the other side of the room he got up slowly, as did I. I charged at him again and as he went to block my swing to his head i slid under his arm and hit him in his legs knocking him to his knees before i got up and swung at least 30 times knocking his eye out and this time when he tried to punch me i dodged and swung on his arm breaking it. I was surprised and stunned when his shoulder deployed a canon that blasted me down as i looked up i saw him backing up stumbling as he grabbed his head and screamed

"Stop please i need more time Emily, please" his screams ended with him on his knees and the lights on his eye his chest and his arm fading to a very very dim light.

I grabbed Jake and we stumbled out the way. we came only to be stopped by Emily and Aria who said

"Did you enjoy the show" I froze but before i could make a move i had a bag over my head and was knocked unconscious.
