Chapter 12: The Battle 

Lucas' POV

My anxiety has been crazy, this battle is not what i expected, im just hoping Jake and i, chose the right people. Rick likes to say we'll win, but i am not so sure, Emily and Aria might have just found us. And we can't risk letting the world crumble. But I'm not so sure if anybody will survive this besides the main 4. Poor civilians. The fight will soon be among us, and we must be ready, whatever it takes, whatever the cost. Let's just hope Jake can finish this. I believe in him. I'm walking while killing tons of anomalies in my path.

We were coming up on towards the upcoming battle, wondering if we were making the right decisions. What if this doesn't work, or what will do to make sure Jake is sentenced for letting a deadly vampire to roam free. Emily wasn't always like this, and whatever made her so evil is concerning, cause whatever happened, she was so calm before. Maybe when she became a vampire, it messed with her subconscious and forced her to make bad decisions and this is the new her. She loved Jake for a long time after he moved on. And he left when she, well you know, became immortal. Hopefully we can get everything back to normal. And we can solve the issue. When i went for my walk, I look on to of all things i see Aria. We come face to face.

"So look who has finally arrived to defeat" i said cautiously reaching for my gun.

"You know know you don't have to do that," she said while tracing the outline of her fangs with her tongue. "I could easily afford to have your head on my mantle."

"That's a little disturbing, not gonna lie" I said, having grabbed my rifle and had taken my stance, "One shot to the head and You are done for."

"So it would seem". She said, getting ready to run at me. Then without a second check, i slid down and dodge the attack, then we engaged in hand to hand combat.

"You really aren't that powerful, Aria"

"Bullshit" she said.

"Sureee" i said sarcastically. She'll never understand.

"Once Emily defeats you all, she'll have nobody in her way, then Aria let out a sonic scream. Pushing me back and messing up my ears, and then the intense ringing happened, then my ears began to bleed. I still fought Aria, hoping to be able to end this.

"You Are fading Lucas!" She yelled.

"What?" I said not being able to hear shit.

"YOU'RE LOOSING, JUST LOOK,"

So i did, she was right, we are loosing. Jake, we need you now more than ever. Then i look around to see that, behind me, is no other than rick, running towards us,

"YES! FUCKING YES!" I yelled, but then Aria decided to strike again. Making the situation worse and worse, before i could do anything, he was upon us. Then she got a good hit on me.

I was blacking out i had no idea what was happening. My ears were ringing and as that ringing faded i heard the scream of a lycan i looked up and saw it disintegrate. Rick was there he helped me up and asked,

"you alright? Aria really fucked you up with that shit" Rick Yelled

"Yeah yeah im fine wtf happned." I replied

"You guys were battling and she had lycans attack you as she charged up a attack that sent you all the way over here"

"O...over where" I said in confusion.

"You went through six trees man we all thought you fucking died"

"Well i guess its time my secret comes out" i sighed.

"Yeah i guess so your gonna have to tell everyone"

"Ill do it afterwards as long as you find us some alcohol"

Rick smiled and said "Well idk if my components will allow me to get drunk but sure"

Rick helped me up and handed me his sword. We nodded at each other and entered a battle stance as Aria walked towards us with a green arua encasing her. Each step she took left sparks. She drew two daggers and ran at us.

Rick and I nodded to each other and i said,

"One last time brother?"

Rick smirked and said.

"lets kick her ass"

So we ran, yelling. We can do this.

Aria lunged at us and as she got closer i could feel the heat emitting from her. She went for Rick first stabbing him in the shoulder causing his arm to short circuit. She kicked her self off of him leaving the dagger in his shoulder and knocking him to the ground. She did some magic with her now free hand that pushed me back as i tried to get closer as if she had a wall in front of me that kept pushing me backwards...back into the battle field.

She smiled and said,

"Lucas i know you your not gonna kill me, you know im pregnant with our child. Its just a shame that its gonna have to grow up without a father figure."

I didnt have time to talk back i gripped the sword in one hand and managed to break through her barrier. As i got charged at her i tried to jab her in the chest but the sword melted so i had to follow it up with a strike with my free hand. And as i raised my arm to hit her my heart started racing i felt i was going to die. My fist and arm were quickly met with a burning feeling i screamed in pain as she hit me in the stomach causing me to stumble backwards and fall i was in pain stareing at my arm.

Aria tossed me the half melted sword and smiled and laughed as she said,

"Try again go ahead"

I couldnt even stand, i could feel death caressing me.

As i was about to accept my fate, i saw Rick jump at Aria he hit her in the chest with her shoulder cannon. Then as his arm turned a burning orange, he hit her in the nose, stunning her. He used his human arm to grab  her around the throat and his other arm to grab her arm with the dagger in it and melt the dagger.

I could see his eye glow red as the skin around it burnt off revealing a hard steel casing he screamed,

"Brother you have to get up and end this NOW"

I got up and grabbed the sword and broke it in half i walked up to Aria and made a cut under her rib cage, reached inside and pulled her heart out threw it on the ground and stomped on it as i said,

"No one wants the kid anyways no one could be able to control that monster not you not anyone so now itll die along with you"

Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as she took her last breath and went limp.

"You'll pay.." she said.

Rick was mildly injured i reached my hand out to him and said, "One to go Brother"
