Chapter seven - Draco & his gang

~Y/n pov~

You wake up the next morning and see Stormcatcher. Holding your schedule.

You see Bay and Alli are just waking up as well. You smile and get ready for the day putting on the uniform you were given last night, as well as brushing your hair, teeth, etc.

"Excited for the first day!?" Bay asked clearly pumped.

"Nervous actually. I assumed I was going into Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw maybe. I don't want people to think I'm evil." You sighed at Allis words.

"Well, hey no matter what happens we have each other. Plus, we can be proof not all Slytherins are evil." You say in attempts to make her feel better.

"I guess so." She smiles and Bay looks at you in a weird stunned gaze.

"I've known Alli for like three years and when she's scared no one can calm her down." Bay states putting on some lipstick to complete her vibe.

"We should get going. What classes do you guys have?" You ask the girls.

"We share Transfiguration and Runes." Alli said.

"We have Flying, Runes in common at least." Bay said looking at her schedule.

"Well I have Charms first so I best be off." You all nod and walk out to the common room only to hear snickering.

You turn and see Draco and his two little bodyguards.

"What's so funny Draco?" You sneer pissed off at his antics.

"Just these Mudbloods think that they can hang around with the daughter of a powerful pureblood family." He laughed looking at Alli and Bay.

"Draco, they have names! And yes, Bay and Alli can stay with me because their company is worth more than yours at the moment." Draco looked stunned you would talk to him like that. You felt a tinge of guilt but at the same time he can't talk to people like that.

"You are a filthy blood traitor!" Goyle exclaimed.

"Don't call me that." You warned.

"Or what?" Draco asked casually.

"Well I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise." You sneer taking a step toward the blonde boy hand hovering above your wand.

"I may've been impressed with you if you wouldn't stand for filth." Draco states. You growl at Draco and show no emotion other than in your eyes glare of hatred.

"Shut it Malfoy." You hissed at him. You could see a tinge of shock at you calling him Malfoy, normally you don't use family names. This got through to him at how pissed off you were.

"When you've come to your senses, you'll come crawling back to us." Draco states. His demeanor back to dark and cold.

"When you come to your senses, you'll see how wrong you are." You say before turning and walking out with your friends.

"Thanks." Alli speaks up as you all walk the halls.

"Huh?" You ask confused.

"For standing up for us." She states.

"Oh. Well he shouldn't talk to you or anyone like that. He needs to realise that." You look at the girls and they smile.

"Maybe, but you still stood up for us. It means a lot." Bay adds.

"I'd do it a million times over." You tell the girls.

"Anyway, here's my class so I'll chill here until class starts. Good luck." You say looking at the room. Hopefully it'll be okay. You look around and as you're pacing around the door you see a familiar face. Cedric? He must've caught you staring because he waved goodbye to his friends and trotted over to you.

"Hey, Y/n right?" He asked.

"Yeah. Nice to cya again Cedric." You smile.

"Thank you, by the way. For uh, yesterday." You say looking back somewhat embarrassed.

"Oh, no problem. I got lost on my first day too but I was lucky to run into another student that helped me out." He stated.

"Y/n!" You turn and see Hermione run up to you and Cedric.

"Hey there Hermione." You chuckle and she too laughs.

"Why didn't you choose Gryffindor? You could've been with me and not left me with people like the Weasley twins." Hermione went on about how annoying they were.

"Well, I'm not really sure, but I think the whole Brave, courageous and mighty thing wasn't me but the Ambitious, Cunning, Leader thing was more my style." You smile at Hermione's glare.

"Cedric, um can I ask you something?" You say looking up at the boy. Hermione just realised he was there at your little question.

"Yeah, anything." He confirms.

"What do other houses think of... well, my house."

"I mean, most of us know that the Slytherin's and the house isn't as bad as some people say. But that's just it, some people do believe that all Slytherins are bad due to You know who and well they've been know to cheat or bend the rules a lot. But that shouldn't represent the house as a whole." He says looking at you, seeing you clearly nervous.

"So, I'm gonna have to change that." You growl.

"Determined one. You really could've been in any house." Cedric laughed. You smiled along with him. He looked between you and Hermione.

"Anyway, I should leave you two to your class. See ya around." Cedric said before leaving.

"Hermione, how was settling into your dorm?" You inquire turning to her.

"Good. I mean at least they seem like respectable people." She says her head up high.

"Good." You smile.

"What about you?" She asks with a little bit of worry in her voice.

"The girls in my room seem really nice. They were getting made fun of by Draco when I stepped in. I can't believe him sometimes." You are concerned for the boy. So young yet acting like he's wise and mature enough when he only lives for his fathers prays. You decided to tell her about what he said and she looked upset but all she said was "he needed to be taught a lesson."

"Yeah..." You say, looking away. Hermione looks down.

As we were talking the class bell rung out and we walked into the class. We sat beside each other and waited for the rest of the class to fill in.

You finish class and walk out happily, it was fairly simple. There was a short break in between classes and you left Hermione to wonder off alone before heading to the next class. It was Potions so the basement was fairly familiar to you once Professor Snape had helped you around. He seemed foreign to you. Some one who was scared of something. But his personal business wasn't your own. After you stumbled your way around you heard the next bell. Time to get to class.

(So originally, I was going to put a proper schedule here, but I wasn't sure exactly quite how to do it considering I couldn't find anything on a proper schedule for Hogwarts, other than just the first year classes, there is no select order, plus I'm not gonna make you memorize that so I didn't put it in.)
