What The Hell Is This?

"SInce when are we in the rescuing business, huh?" The voice belonged to none other than Murphy. Great. He was tagging along behind me and Bellamy, and I really wish he wasn't.

"You could stay at camp and fall in the fire," I replied, giving him my most sarcastic smile. My wounds had clotted over, but still split and chaffed everytime I moved. I didn't wait for any replies from either of the boys, and instead walked faster, so I was closer to Clarke and Wells. I hadn't had much time to talk to either of them since we had landed.

After a while of no talking, Bellamy broke the silence.

"Hey, hold up. What's the rush? You don't survive a spear through the heart." By this point, he'd got his gun out. Being beautiful doesn't mean that he sometimes has a very deranged streak...

"Put the gun away, Bellamy," Wells warned.

"Well, why don't you do something about it, huh?" Murphy barred Wells from touching Bellamy, which greatly annoyed me. Shooting him a disgusted look, Murphy chose to ignore me. I was done standing here, and started walking further into the forest. Clarke was telling them how her wristband was not coming off.  By the time they caught up with me sitting on a rock, Finn had joined them.

"Hey Spacewalker, come to lighten the party?" I half joked.

"Seems like you guys are a bundle of happiness, wild cat," he smiled back.

"Wild cat? Seriously? I already have a name that is perfectly easy to remember!"

"You called me Spacewalker!" He argued back. I gave him a playful shove before following Clarke. By now, we had split, with Murphy, Wells and Bellamy together, and me, Clarke and Finn.  I'd more or less zoned out and was ahead of the other two. Earth was amazing - the air, the scent, the sky, the trees - everything was, well, clear I guess. I could hear Clarke and Finn talking, but couldn't hear the words. I waited for the others to catch up, and together we took in the beauty of a waterfall. It was incredible, the way the water twisted and turned, like it was alive.

"Well, at least we don't have to worry about water," Clarke observed.

"Holy shit, it's, I don't know, pretty?" I pondered upon that thought, not knowing how to describe it. They both laughed at me, and when Finn smiled, it really looked hot on him. We walked down into the water, and Finn started splashing around. Clarke was telling him how we didn't have time, but he pulled her in. I stood on a rock, and after chucking my pack down, jumped in after them. I swam around the outside, whilst they mucked around in the middle. After a couple of minutes, I noticed they were both looking towards the far edge. As I looked up, I saw what they saw - rocks covered in blood. I rushed back to grab mine and Clarke's packs, and then we continued on the trail, with Clarke holding Jasper's goggles which she had found on the floor.

We managed to find Bellamy, Wells and Murphy, and walked along the river.

"Hey, how do we know this is the right way?" Murphy questioned.

"We don't. Spacewalker thinks he's a tracker," Bellamy replied.

"He's got fourth year earth skills dumbass," I shot at both of them.

"You want to keep it down or should I paint a target on your backs?" Finn warned.

"Or we could just use Murphy as a human shield," I whispered, just loud enough for Clarke to hear. She shot me a smirk, before we heard a moan from nearby. We ran forward to find Jasper strung up in a gnarled, old tree. He was bloody and bruised, but alive - that was what mattered. He looked awful, and it took my brain a moment to register that he was in front of us, as did it the rest of the group.

"What the hell is this?" Bellamy voiced what the rest of us were all thinking. As we stepped forward, Clarke suddenly fell into a pit, studded with spikes.

"Clarke!" I yelled, running over to where Bellamy had just caught her. "Pull her up for fucks sake!" I yelled, as I grabbed her other hand. We pulled her up and stood there as we caught out breath. I walked forward, nearer to Jasper. Finn said something, and Murphy was soon next to me. There was a poultice on his wound, and Finn made it clear what was happening.

"Maybe what they're trying to catch is us."

Murphy and Finn were up the tree, cutting Jasper down. All of a sudden, there was a crack from in the bushes.

"Grounders?" Bellamy asked. Suddenly, a huge black beast leaped from out of the bush, and gunshots filled the air. But it wasn't the owner of the firing it - it was Wells. The beast went down, but another was stalking through the undergrowth. It launched itself at me and Bellamy, and in a strange but welcome gesture, Bellamy sheltered my body with his own as we both flinched, watiing for our untimely death.
