Authors Note: This is pretty much my Halloween from this year, but a few details are changed. For example, I was in denial about my crush and Jake is totally aware about his crush.

Jake's POV:

Halloween is awesome. At least for 4/5 of us. Amy does not love it so much, something that Charles and I were planning on changing this year.

Today is Halloween. Today is the day I would finally win the 'Halloween Heist.'

The Halloween Heist is an annual tradition at our school where all the eighth graders at our school could try and steal an item from the principal.

Ever since we heard about the heist in second grade, I had been planning how I was definitely going to win.

Gina was the one who told me and we immediately had decided to work as a team.

Charles joined six years later. Once he figured out Boone and the Buffoons (our sworn enemies) were competing as well.

Rosa joined as soon as Gina told her about it. In fact, Rosa was pretty mad that she didnt know about sooner even though I'm pretty sure she knew about it second grade as well.

Amy hasn't joined. She has this thing against Halloween. When she was little, she used to live it, but for the last couple years she just hates Halloween.

I can't wait until high school, because everyone in the school gets to compete in a slightly different version of the Heist.

The rules of tomorrow's heist were that whoever was able to steal his laptop out of his office before the end of the school day wins the Heist and gets out of homework for the next week.

Anyway, that was when my walk-to-school-random-thought-rant was interrupted by me reaching school.

Gina walked up to me and asked, "where were you? I waited for, like, twenty minutes."

"How was I supposed to know? You usually text me when we walk together," I protested.

"I did text you!" She exclaimed.

That's when I saw Rosa walking up to us with her normal angry face.

"Hey, Rosa," I said.

"What the hell, Gina," Rosa growled.

"What?" She asked.

"You texted me and said you'd be waiting outside my apartment for me but you werent there so I ended up waiting for you for, like, twenty minute," she exclaimed. Gina's cheeks flushed red.

The smile on my face grew to the size of the sun. "Well that wasn't very nice of you," I taunted.

"Sorry. I meant to send that to Jake," she said.

"You should be sorry. Is it really that easy for you to mess up?" Rosa spat.

"No no no no, I don't make mistakes," Gina choked.

"This is amazing," I whispered.

Just then the stupid world decided now was the time to make the bell ring. Right when Gina was backed into a corner she couldn't get out of, the stupid fucking bell rang!

"YES!" Gina yelled. It turned a few heads of people near us, but our school is full of psychos so random screaming isn't rare. "Freedom suckas!" She sang.

Then Gina pretty much skipped away from us with glee. Rosa and i started to walk in to our class

"So, it's your big day, huh?" Rosa asked.
