Yet another magical princess story.
?: "There was once a land, filled with all kinds of elements, coming from all over the world; light and dark, fire and water, earth and air, nature and ice... Everything was in an almost perfect harmony, almost too perfect... and then each element decided to create humans, with the power to hold that same power within themselves. Each of these humans experienced and experimented what their powers could do, some used them to create new life, or to help already existing life forms, and others used for... other purposes. This was how our world started, eventually, humans started to develop things, relationships with eachother, and the world they inhabited, and so, created the twenty three kingsoms of today, and then- "

A student raises their hand.
??: "Uhm... Teacher I have a question."
?: "Sigh... What is it now Matthew, you know i hate it when you interrupt me... "
Matthew : "Erm, y...yes sorry... Is this... going to be on the test?"
?: "Ugh... (visibly dissapointed) yes, it is."
Matthew : "Thank you"
?: "Anyway, where was I... Oh right! So the kingdoms now have their respective- "
The bell rings and all the students run out of class.
?: "Will someone ever be interested in history class?"

Between the long corridors, there was a student walking nervously, looking up and down as if she were lost, indeed she was. In grades and aspect she was no different than any other student attending Royale High, but in power and magic, well... she was above average for her element. She came from one of the most important lineages and kingdom, the Nature Kingdom of the East, the daughter of King Gerald and his wife, Queen Dahlia. Here starts her journey through high school, because she is the new student of Royale High, the tale of Selene.

As Selene was starting to walk a bit faster when trying to find her guide, she stumbles across a kind guy. His voice was soft, and strangely warm for an ice elemental. Being able to tell an ice elemntal is very easy, mostly due to their cold wings, which usually have snow slowly falling off.

?: "Excuse me, are you the new student? Erm... Selene?"
Selene: "U-Uhm... Y...Yes I am."
?: "Ah... great, my name is Nathaniel, it's a pleasure to meet you." (he wanted to shake her hand, but he stopped before he touched her) "Oh... sorry."
Selene: "Same, and... it's alright." (she said while smiling)
Nathaniel: "Great, great... uh... I'm here to show you around the school"
Selene: "Oh... yes, thank you!"
Nathaniel: "Cool, follow me."

They started walking together across the enchanting marble corridors in one of the buildings of Royale High. These were filled from the floor to the roof with ornaments on the white walls, every pattern in a symetric way displayed and honored each element with a different piece of art. For every tall dark wood door they came across there were arches complementing the entrance, with the same artistic pattern. Beneath their feet there was a soft, gorgeous blue carpet that extended far across the marble.

Nathaniel: "Most classrooms are structurally the same, but what makes them special is how teachers decide to put in them. This one to the left is the history class, you can tell by the mark on the door right here."
Selene: "Why is it there?"
Nathaniel: "Cuz' the teacher, Mr. Alfred, in every class says that this symbol is the most important in history so, yeah... Anyway, let's continue."

When the corridor ended it lead them to the first garden of the school, some students were sitting and chatting on the small grass hills, others could be seen using the stone seats and the wooden benches scattered aceoss the place, just hanging out with friends. In the center of the garden there was a fountain, that just as much as the last building, had beautiful representations of all the elements, around it, little specs of different colors could be seen floating around it.
Selene put her hands together in amazement, and looked around mesmerised.

Selene: "This is so...! B-Beautiful!"
Nathaniel: "Y-Yeah... it is..."
Selene: "I love it!"
Nathaniel was surprised at the enthusiasm he saw in Selene's eyes, not a single nature elemental had reacted so passionately about the school's garden. Meanwhile Selene couldn't believe that such a common area of a school could have such elaborate gardens and fountains, which were nothing like the ones she saw almost daily.
Nathaniel: "Well, you're in luck, this is just one of many green areas of the school. And for being a nature elemental, you can visit further."
Selene: "Really? This is simply amazing!"
Nathaniel: "Hmm..." (he agreed while stared at a nearby tree, thinking of something)
Selene: "Should we, uhm... continue?"
Nathaniel: (realizing he spaced out) "Oh! Right, right..."

They walked over the stone pathway and made their way over to the building on their left. Unlike the first one, this one was made of white concrete, with lockers covering most of the wallpaper. The corridor had a twirling pattern covering it, with a soft blue slowly drifting into a darker blue, small plants were hanging between each oak door.

Nathaniel: "This is the maths and physics building, or as we call it, the blues."
Selene: "Do the teachers make you sad, or is it something else?"
Nathaniel: "It depends really, if you get someone like—"

Suddenly a door opens, and a tall man seems to appear right behind Nathaniel, scaring him.

Nathaniel: "What the—! "
(teacher): "And here I was thinking ice elementals would have colder reactions..."
Nathaniel: "M-Maybe, but not when you move at the speed of light!"
Selene: "Like... him?"
Nathaniel: "Yes, basically... He—"
(teacher) : "Let me introduce myself, I'm Professor Cato, I give mathematics to first years, so i'm guessing we will be seeing you in my class." (he said this while messing up Nathaniel's hair) "It seems you two are still on the little tour of the school, proceed."

The teacher walked back into his classroom.

Nathaniel: (while trying to tidy his hair) "He's one of the cooler ones."
Selene: "I figured so..."

They walked across the corridor until reaching the end of it, where a door led to a small garden, this one closed off by walls. Between wall and grass, there was a stone floor, complete with arches and columns supporting roofing above it.

Nathaniel: "So from here you can go in three directions, up ahead there is a shortcut to the cafeteria, to the right a corridor to the next building, and finally to the left, one of the big hallways."
Selene: "I see..."
Nathaniel: "Yep, and once you know your way around one building, you basically know all of them."
Selene: "Well, thank you so much for this. I really appreciate you."
Nathaniel: "It's cool. "

The bell rings.

Nathaniel: "Looks like it's break time, wanna come with me to the cafeteria?"
Selene: "Sure!"

As they were walking, a dark elemental rushes past them, knocking off Nathaniel onto the grass. Selene was still stunned from that force, so she didn't notice him falling at first. Nathaniel sat down for a moment while trying to re orient himself, this moment was enough for Selene to look.

Selene: "Are you alright?"
Nathaniel: "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Geez they are fast!"
Selene: "Let me help you get up."
Nathaniel: "Don't—!"

It was too late before they realized their mistake. They touched hands. For a second Selene felt the freezing hand of the boy on the floor, and even through that low temperature, she could feel something familiar and strangely warm, the touch of his skin was like no other, it was soft, and yet cold as ice. Nathaniel knew that if this stayed any longer, someone could get injured, so he quickly retreated his hand and put it on his chest, clenching it into a fist and covering it with his spare hand. Nathaniel stood up as fast as he could.

Selene: "I'm... s-sor—"
Nathaniel: (interrupting) "No, no, i-it's fine..." (he said smiling). "Ahem... anyway... let's go."

As they opened the doors to the cafeteria they saw...

Author's note:
This one was just a weird idea that I had while doing a school project (we had to write stories). I ended up creating an entire universe and set of characters so, this one will probably become it's own story.
