Chapter 17

-Katniss's POV-

Tears are streaming down my face as I scream. Peeta is yelling at me to stop and I don't want to do this. But I ignore him. You are probably wondering what happened so let me recap.

-this morning-

"Good morning Prim,Mom and Plutarch!" I say smiling. "Morning!" They smile back. I make some toast and take a big bite of it. I finish up the toast and put my plate in the dishwasher.

I hear a knock. I shakily answer the door with a bat in my hand. It's just Peeta. "Are you going to hit me?" He jokes. I laugh and put the bat back. "Want to go to the store with me?" He asks. I nod and run upstairs to get dressed. I put on a light green skirt that your supposed to pull up to the bottom of your belly button and it ends mid thigh, a strapless white lacy shirt that has a sweetheart neckline and ends at 2nd rip, a light washed denim jacket that is sleeveless, white sunglasses, black converses, and my promise ring.

I run downstairs and Peeta takes my hand. We get in his car and he yells "TO THE STORE!" I laugh as we drive off.

-the store-

"Babe can you get some cereal, doesn't matter what kind." He says. I nod and give him a quick peck as I walk in direction of the cereal aisle. As I'm looking around I see..Gale. He walks up to me fast. I want to run and scream for Peeta but I can't move my body. "I got out of prison. Let's just say me and a few people have plans for you." He whispers and disappears.

I fall to the ground and scream. People stare at me and Peeta runs and sees me. "Katniss." He says and picks me. "What happened?" He asks. I scream in reply. I jump out of his arms and run to my house. When I finally see my house I bust open the door and run upstairs. I lock myself in the bathroom.

I hear 11 pairs of feet run into my room. I'm screaming my head off right now. Clove, Cato, Marvel, Glimmer, Annie, Finnick, Johanna, Peeta, My mom, Prim, and Plutarch are screaming at me to open the door. I just keep screaming. I grab a razor and start dragging it across my arm. I scream out in pain. "SHES CUTTING!" Johanna yells. She must of figured it out then.

Peeta then yells "baby please don't do this! I love you! I wanted to marry you, have a family with you! Grow old with you! YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING!" I drop the razor. As I'm about to open the door I black out.

-Peeta's POV-

I bust open the door. Katniss is standing in her own pool of blood. The razor is bloody and there is cuts all over her arm. I pick her up and we rush to the hospital. I yell at the nurse to get someone. They put her on a stretcher and wheel her to the ER.

I start screaming and banging on the glass when they shut us out. Two doctors grab me and make me wait in the waiting room.

I'm in the middle of waiting room screaming,sobbing, curled up in a ball. Finnick picks me up and sets me in a chair. "She's strong. She'll fight through." The doctor comes in. "She has minor memory loss, there is a 50 50 chance it could come back or be permanent,she's in a coma right now. She woke up and screamed because of the pain, so we had to put her in a coma or she would make her heart stop. She will wake up. Probably in an hour or so." He fills us in. "Thank you doctor." I sniffle.

He just nods and walks out. "Minor memory loss?" Marie questions. Plutarch is rubbing her back soothing her. I wish I could soothe Katniss right now, but that's not gonna happen.

-Katniss's POV-

I wake in a....hospital? A doctor sees I'm awake and I walks out. Probably to tell whoever is waiting for me. A boy with blonde hair and blue eyes runs to me and kisses me. Who is this?

He breaks away and hugs me. "Katniss baby your alright!" He says smiling.

-Peeta's POV-

I run to her and kiss her. Then break away and hug her. "Katniss baby your alright!" I smile while saying. She looks confused.

"Who are you?" She asks. My eyes widen and fill with tears.

"You don't remember me?" I ask.

She shakes her head.

She's gone.
