"Can you please stop staring at me like an experiment?" Brian's eyes widen, before he looks down at his hot drink, finding it more appealing than Jordyn at the moment.

"Sorry," he sighs, picking a piece off his muffin. He places it in his mouth, giving a quiet hum before speaking. "Why are you out here so late?"

Brian looks up, contemplating if he should answer, or bargain. He chooses the latter. "Why did you get kicked off the basketball team?" Jordyn raises a brow, surprised that Brian had any courage to ask him such a question.

"You answer first." Brian takes in a heavy breath, before letting out a dramatic sigh, through his hands up tiredly.

"I didn't want to go home? Alright?" Brian states, continuing with the sarcasm. "I'd rather be out where I could get kidnapped or murdered than in that house, where I'd choke on textbooks and homework."

"Hm...Choke," Jordyn sniggers, taking a bite from muffin before drinking some water.

"What?"

"Hm?" Brian gives a look of confusion, only to wave it off. He's more interested in what Jordyn's answer will be.

"So...Why did you get kicked off the team?"

"I-uh-" he's cut off by his own laughter, "it's hilarious, I promise. I got kicked off—you ready? Because he found out I'm gay!" Jordyn laughs dryly, hoping it covers up the pain his wound.

"How'd they find out?"

"They found a Blueboy magazine in my bag thanks to Liam Orman stuffing it in there." That sentence added salt to the wound. "Then Jeremy heard, leading us to this." He waves at his black eye and busted lip before a sigh escapes him.

"Liam Orman is gay?" Brian wonders, a surprised look crossing his face.

"Oh don't act surprised, you're a fag yourself." Surprisingly, Brian's eyes didn't pop from their sockets from how wide they got. It forces a chuckle from the latter, nearly choking on his water.

"Why do you think I'm a f-fag?"

"I could sense it." Brian raises a brow, confusion written across his face. "It's called a 'Gay Radar.' You'll understand soon." Jordyn waves him off, eating the last of his muffin, a quiet hum leaving his lips. "Look, you didn't question what Blueboy was, you constantly give me and some of the other athletes' googly eyes in math class, and you nearly drooled when I said Liam was gay."

"Ah..." is all that can trail past Brian's lips, his eyes burning holes into the wooden table, as his face becomes a bright red. Jordyn takes a moment to look Brian over, taking his sweet time to admire his features.

"What day is it?" Jordyn wonders aloud.

"It's 12:08 am, so..." Brian trails off looking his watch before answering. "It's March 24th then. Why?"

" You have detention tomorrow?"

"Yes. Why?" Brian questions quietly.

"How would you like to ride around with me tonight, doing whatever the hell we want for the next seven hours before we have to go to detention? What do you say?"

"Why would we do this?" Brian questions, not really believing this will end well.

"You're in detention for some reason. Knowing how you are Brian, it probably feels like you just destroyed your entire plan for life." He goes to argue, only for nothing to leave his lips. Jordyn's right, Brian did fuck up his life. "I destroyed my entire plan too. So, tonight I'd like to do everything I've wanted to do for so long. You in?"

Only a moment passes before Brian lets words pass his lips without a thought.

"Hell fucking yes."
