Walking into the large building, Jordyn is met with a blast of warmth. It surprises him, as they usually are freezing their butts off during school hours. So why would it be warm as hell on a Saturday? He can't really form a good answer, so he just shrugs it off, happy to be heated.

His Jordans echo in the silent hallway, creating a bit of anxiety that he can feel in the back of his throat, which he hopes disappears when swallows roughly. It stays put. Nevertheless, he continues his journey down the long corridors until he walks into the library. His stride gradually slows as he sees the faces he'll be around for the next few hours. His eyes first meet Brian's, who looks away with a growing blush on his face. He then sees Andrew and Claire. One waves at him, a soft smile on their lips. The other looks away, a blush creeping on their cheeks. It's not the same blush as Brian had, though. He then meets eyes with the one and only John Bender, who gives him a silent nod in greeting. He then spots a girl in the far back, looking off somewhere off into the distance. It makes him raise a brow before shrugging it off, deciding it'd be best for him not to intrude.

Walking over to Brian, he sits down at his table, leaving a seat between them. He watches as Brian's eyes grow wide like saucers, wondering why Jordyn Coperfield would sit with him. And then it clicks in they're head that they're together, making his face become even redder than before.

Everyone's attention is forced to the entrance when Vice Principal Vernon walks in holding some papers and pencils. Everyone only knows him for two things: yelling at students in the hallways and handing out slips for dress code violations. It makes Jordyn roll his eyes, knowing these eight hours will be a living hell with him around.

"Well. Well," he starts off, "here we are. I want to congratulate you for being on time..." his words trail off, making Jordyn raise a brow. Looking over, he notices that Vernon stopped for Claire, who raises her hand before speaking.

"Excuse me, sir? I think there's been a mistake." Jordyn knows his eyes are going to be sore from the number of times he's going to be rolling them today. "I know it's detention, but-uh, I don't think I'm supposed to in here."

"It is now seven-oh-six," he continues, making Jordyn why Vernon even stopped in the first place. "You have exactly eight hours and fifty-four minutes to think about why you're here."

"And if I know the answer-" Jordyn's rhetorical question is cut short when he hears an indescribable sound. Looking over, he watches as John leans back in his chair before spitting in the air. It stays in the air for a few moments before falling back down, landing back in John's mouth, leaving Jordyn utterly confused. "What the fuck?" he says aloud, finding himself wanting to throw up.

"You may not talk." Jordyn looks over when hears shuffling, noticing Brian trying to move a bit closer to him. "You will not move seats." His words halt the blond's movements, who moves back to his original seat after a second of hesitation.

"Smooth," Jordyn whispers, a small smirk on his lips. He watches as roses blossom on his cheeks, making his smirk form into a soft grin, finding the nerd to be absolutely adorable.

"We are going to write an essay," Vernon announces, placing a sheet of paper and pencil in front of Claire and Andrew before moving to Bender, "of no less than a thousand words, describing to me who you think you are."

"Is this a test?" John asks.

"Pop quiz?" Jordyn adds on, finding himself without a filter for now. He isn't given a response as he receives a paper and pencil, as does Brian.

"When I mean essay I mean an essay.  I do not mean a single word repeated a thousand times. Is that clear Mr. Bender?"

 "Crystal."

"Good. Maybe you'll learn a little something about yourself. Maybe you'll even decide whether or not you care to return." Jordyn instantly grabs onto Brian, hearing the sound of his clothes as he moves to stand up. Pulling him back down in his chair, he looks ahead while shaking his head, signaling the boy to stop what he was doing. He seems to understand, as Jordyn hears Brian give an audible sigh, making him release the hold he had on his jacket. "My office-" he stops, pointing out towards the doors, "is right across that hall. Any monkey business is ill-advised." He places hands on his hips, reminding Jordyn of when his mother got mad at him for one reason or another. And when his mind began to imagine Vernon dressed like his mother—with a beige dress, a dirty apron, and a spatula in hand—he has to place a hand over his mouth to fight the laugh trying to past his lips. "Any questions?"

"Yeah. I have one," John says. "Does Barry Manilow know you raided his wardrobe?" Jordyn allows a small snort to leave him from that comment, but forces down the rest of the laughter.

"I'll give you the answer to that question, Mr. Bender, next Saturday. Don't mess with the bull young man, you'll get the horns." Jordyn raises a brow at the analogy, waiting until Vernon is in his office before asking aloud, "Did he just compare himself to a bull?"

"Maybe a really old one," John shrugs, receiving one from the former athlete in response.
