Chapter 2

It was midnight when I woke up in the forest. My legs hurt and I had to blink several times to see properly. I got up slowly and turned around. I recoiled when a huge dragon stood in front of me.
"What the hell is going on!?" I screamed.
"I called you Merlin. Your time has come, you have to protect Arthur at all costs. The Pendragon's have many enemies, so beware!" said the dragon.
Okay Merlin, stay cool, it's a dream, I thought to myself.
"It's not a dream Merlin! My name is Kilgharrah and I'm the last dragon! You are my master, whenever you need me, I will be there, you just have to call me" he said.
The dragon spread its wings and flew away.
"Wait!! How can I call you!? And what do you mean that I'm your master?" I screamed, but the dragon did not answer me. I ran back "home" to Camelot. I sighed and dropped into my bed. Many nightmares tormented me that night. I woke up sweat-covered. Arthur will die if I don't stop it, I know it, I can feel it.

The next morning I was allowed to attend a meeting of the king. There was a traitor among us who was after Arthur. The king had a celebration done to seize the traitor himself. Because I'm now Gaius helper, I was also allowed to go to the celebration. At least that's how I was able to take care of Arthur.
Everything started in the evening. I could see someone giving poison in Arthur's cup. I wanted to run away to report it to the king but I got caught. It was like someone was beating my head and everything was getting black around me.

(10 minutes later)

My head hurt terribly. It took a while until I realized what had happened. I immediately got up and ran to the celebration. Hopefully it's not too late. When I opened the door, the king screamed "let the celebrations begin". Arthur raised his goblet and was about to have a drink.
"NO! DONT DRINK THIS! There is poison in the goblet!" I screamed. Everyone was starring at me. Arthur rolled his eyes. "You again!", he said annoyed. The king got up from the square and came to me. "Who are you that you allow yourself to make such allegations?", he said.
"My name is Merlin and I saw someone put poison in the chalice of the prince"
"Who was it?" asked Arthur.
I looked into every single face that was visible in the room, but the person was not here. "The person is not present. Surely she fled"
"It is better true what you say, otherwise you will be hanged for treason!", Threatened the king. I dropped my head. "Drink it!", ordered the king. I raised my head again and looked to Gaius for help, but he just shrugged his shoulders. I took the goblet and drank it out. I suddenly felt bad. I saw everything blurry and my stomach ached. I couldn't breathe and fell to the ground.

"Merlin!" was all I could hear.. I woke up in a soft bed. where am I? I lifted my head and looked around. I was in the room of Prince Arthur. The door opened and Arthur came in.
"Merlin? Are u fine?", he asked.
"Ehm yes, thanks. Why am I in your bed, not in mine?"
"It's softer", Arthur smiled. I also had to smile a little. Everything was so weird, why is he so nice to me? "So Merlin, as a thank you for saving me, I make you my servant", he smiled. My laugh disappeared. I can not be his servant after all. He will only shove me around. I jumped up from the bed and ran out of the room. I could hear Arthur's laugh in the hallways. That's not at all fair!
