(Merlins POV)

Arthur ordered me to saddle the horses. He insisted on a hunting trip. Strange was, that he wanted to do it alone, only with me, without guards or other knights. But if he wants it, I'll do it. After lunch we rode off. I don't know how to act against Arthur. Is he still mad at me? Isn't he? I don't know.
A: "Do you have anything?"
M: "Yes, I'm in the saddle all day"
A: "Do you have a sore butt?"
M: "Yes, that's not as fat as yours"
A: "You have a pretty big mouth for a coward"
M: "Maybe I'm a coward, but at least I'm not a dumbass"
A: "The word doesn't exist"
M: "that's idiomatic"
A: "That's What? Explain it"
M: "In two words?"
A: "yes"
M: "Prince Arthur"
A: "Merlin, shut up. You chase the animals with your babble"

Arthur dismounted and stooped down to read tracks. "There was nothing here, just birds" he said. He raised his head and looked around seriously. "We ride east" he added and got back on the horse.
M: "Listen, Arthur, I want to apologize me again" I said calmly.
A: "I don't want hear anything like that Merlin. Stop talk about this topic"
M: "It is important for me"
A: "Merlin!? shut up!"
M: "You have to know that you can trust me, I'm your friend"
A: "No! Your are just my servant! Not more! Not today and not in the future! And now shut up!"

Wow, he ripped my heart out. Never I felt something like that. His eyes were so cold and he looked so angry. Ashamed, I looked down. My eyes filled with tears. I don't wanted to show him that, but I had no choice, my feelings won and came over me. The tears fell down. I could hear Arthur sighin. I wiped my tears away and looked at him. "We ride back home" he said cold, rode off.

In the evening I made myself comfortable in front of the fireplace. I put pillows on the floor and put a blanket over it. Then I sat down, hugging my legs with my arms and resting my head on my knees. The door opened and someone came in. I don't turned around because I don't care who it was. The person walked around in my room. It was Arthur, who was sitting down next to me. "I'm sorry" he said calmly, looking at the fire. "I don't know what was came over me, it was too hard and I don't meant that like that, I'm really sorry" he added, looking at me. The fire was shone in his face. He looked at me with his "blue puppy dog eyes" face at me. Argh, I can't be mad at him if  he's looks at me like that. "It's okay" I said, started smiling.
A: "You're sure?"
M: "Yeah"
A: "Why don't you tell me?"
M: "I did not know if I can trust you"
A: "Now you know?"
M: "Yes, and I do it"
A: "Can you show me the dragon again? And more of your magic tricks?"

I started to laugh and sat down opposite Arthur. He looked at my hands enthusiastically. The little dragon flew across the room. I could the Arthur's joy in his eyes. If he's happy, am I happy too.
