( Merlins POV)

At the breakfast table there was an embarrassing silence. Nobody talked, not even Maria said anything. "Merlin, please, give me something to drink," Arthur asked me. I did what he asked me too. Why is Maria so calm? After all she has gone through, she has enough things to tell. Suddenly the silence broke. "Arthur, I want to thank you for being so kind to me, please come to my room after dinner," Maria told Arthur as she was about to leave the table. She bowed to the king and apologized politely.

Arthur nodded and looked at me reproachfully, as if to say, 'I told you Merlin, she's just polite'. No matter what Arthur says or how he looks at me. I just know that I'm right. I do not trust anyone.

Arthur stands to go to Maria's chambers. I put the jug on the table and followed it without him noticing. I stopped at the door and listened, but heard nothing. "Arthur?" I asked, knocking on the door. But I did not get an answer so I opened the door and ran into the room. I could not believe what I saw there. Maria kissed Arthur. They did not even notice that I was standing in the room. "Arthur !?" I exclaimed indignantly. He looked at me. "What is Merlin? Go out and prepare the wedding instead of looking at me like that," he ordered. "Ehm what?" I asked confused. I did not know what was going on, why he did that. Yesterday he still said he would not love her. "You already understood Merlin, get out of here!" He said and slammed the door.

I ran to my room and searched for the magic book that Gaius had given me the day I arrived. "What are you looking for?" He asked and sat down on the bed. "I believe that Arthur is enchanted. He told me yesterday that he loves no one and I just caught him kissing with Lady Maria, "I answered, flipping around in the book. "This is a love spell that is not so easy to break Merlin," said Gaius, taking the book away from me. "What can I do?"
"You have to kill someone to break the spell. It must be somebody Arthur likes, otherwise it makes no sense and he is lost, "said Gaius earnestly as he walked into his working room.

"I'll make you a poison and an antidote," Gaius said. I thanked him and ran back to Arthur. I knocked on his door. "Come in!" He shouted. Maria was sitting on his lap and the two fooled around. I can not stand this sight, terrible. "Arthur, who do you like most out of the castle?"
"Maria, of course," he laughed and kissed her again. "Is there anyone except Maria?"
"No, go away," he said, gesturing with his hand. I sighed and closed the door behind me. It gets more exhausting than I thought.
