(Merlins POV)

Uther wanted Arthur to ride into the other kingdom and make peace. Uther does not often make such sensible decisions. Of course, I accompanied Arthur. We rode against morning and could not take much breaks because we had little time. In the evening I made a campfire and cooked a soup. I was so happy to finally be able to rest. When I wanted to sit down to eat a little, I realized that the pot was empty. "Where's the soup?" I asked Arthur but he just looked at me. "It was delicious," he finally said. "Did you really eat everything?" I asked indignantly as my stomach began to grumble. Arthur nodded.

"Uurrrgh" I mumbled and sat down on a log.
"Oh come on Merlin, you're going to get fat if you do not eat anything that does not hurt you" he said
"I am not fat! You are fat!" I shouted.
"I am not!" he resisted.
I lay down stubbornly on the meadow. Arthur closed his eyes to sleep. The fire was bright so I could see his face. I started to smile.

In the morning, I woke up anxiously. I looked over at Arthur, who was still sleeping. I dreamed that I was holding him and he died. Why do I dream something like that. "Arthur?" I whispered, shaking him gently. "Hmmmm" he murmured. "We have to keep riding," I said, packing our things together. No idea why, but I felt that it would be a long day.
