Arc 2 Chapter 13

Xue Jin Ying had been crowned as the Emperor of Da Xue for a week now.

The Ministers were in a buzz in worry that the Long Dynasty would come and make trouble, after all, the Emperor of Long did not agree to let Xue Jin Ying go just to take the throne.

Cordilia handled it, triggering the planted bomb on the armoury of Da Long in the middle of the night to make sure no one had been hurt. So their weapons and armours were sent on fire and was deemed useless. Not to mention, the Blacksmith is only limited there. So they are on guard and investigating on who was the Culprit of the bombing.

Cordilia smirked and relaxed, shamelessly sitting next to Xue Jin Ying on his dragon chair, the Ministers were on an uproar with her bold actions, Xue Jin Ying waved his hand in dismissal.

"Feng Xian Er will soon be Zhen's Empress" Xue Jin Ying reasoned calmly

"Your Majesty, it has been tradition for women to not intervene in the court!" one of the Minister protested

"You still have the face to say that? Aren't the Imperial Harem been stretching their clutches to the court every time there is a power struggle between the Princes to the throne?" Cordilia asked and smirked as she leaned her cheek on the back of her hand

"......" 'This girl really makes one want to cough up blood, okay!'

"Enough" Xue Jin Ying waved his hand

"You say that the economic of this land is low? This Princess has ideas" Cordilia said

"En. Out with it then" Xue Jin Ying did not even bother being polite with Cordilia, speaking with casual tone and sentence

"This would the the things you needed your majesty. If your Majesty needed more, then this Princess will provide more" Cordilia motioned for an eunuch who entered carrying a huge box that has a lock on it, Cordilia placed the key on Xue Jin Ying's hand.

"Have fun with it" Cordilia smirked as the Ministers casted curious glances here and there.

"Give Zhen the summary" Xue Jin Ying said after he opened the box that was filled with books and scrolls.

"One of those scrolls are strategies for farmers to use. There are blueprints there for contraptions that will be needed. Additional things to strengthen the defences and more work for our citizens to earn more money. There are even strategies on how to avoid Epidemic. Your majesty, it's best if you read it yourself and you will get the more depth of these things." Cordilia smiled, in other words 'I'm too lazy, read it yourself'

"Then this Princess shall take her leave, the old Empress and Old Emperor is waiting for me" Cordilia casually waved her hand

Everyone was helpless with this girl, Feng Xian Er. She acted like a loose woman and not submissive.

Perhaps, the old Emperor and the old Empress did not think too much and was not that much bothered. It was confusing as to why a strong woman such as Feng Xian Er would join hands with their only son but they did not complain, if it wasn't for the girl, the Royal blood will end after the siege for the throne. They owed her that much and the Ministers could not even speak properly when Cordilia keep her pressure on them.

This is a good daughter in law then, if their son will take in Concubines soon, they will not cause much trouble in fear. It will be peaceful.

"Greetings to Mother Empress and Father Emperor" Cordilia smiled and entered

"En, come, has the Morning Court over yet? Where is Ying'er?" the old Empress asked and made Cordilia sit next to her

"Ah, A'Ying is still dealing with those old fossils. Forget about them, A'Ying needs to talk to them man to man anyways" Cordilia waved her hand, the Old Emperor felt that this woman is really acting like a man or was just too careless.

"Now for the wedding arrangements....." The old Empress said

Cordilia blanked out when she heard that.

"Ah, okay" Cordilia nodded

She agreed to what the Empress said, not minding someone planning her wedding.

It turns out, it would be held in a week.

Cordilia was surprised at the fast decision but she could not protest.

She only smiled.
