Aubrey followed Nick, her heart sinking with every step. Why was he doing this?

Since they were at a dance, a song began to play. When Did Your Heart Go Missing by Rooney blasted, and Aubrey smiled, knowing what to do. Nick wouldn't do this to her. She wouldn't back down from this.

She grabbed his hand, grinning at him.

"Love don't come so easily." She sang. "This doesn't have to end in tragedy." She wrapped herself up in his arms. "I have you and you have me, we're one in a million, why can't you see?"

Nick rolled his eyes, dropping her hands. He shook his head and walked away, leaving Aubrey alone, broken.

She began to sing once more, as if she was in a musical.

"I'm waiting, waiting for nothing, you're leaving, leaving me hanging, when did your heart go missing? When did your heart go missing? I treat you like a prince, but your life is just one big mess, when did your heart go missing, when did your heart go missing."

As she sang, she placed her head in her hands, completely devastated with the entire situation.

Across the dance floor, Phillip watched as Macy was flirted with by every guy in the entire room. He thought he loved her. He thought she loved him. In a last resort, he grabbed her arm, forcing her to look at him.

He sang along to the lyrics of the song, hoping it would be romantic.

"I meant every word I said. I never was lying when we talked in bed." He stared at her, begging her to say. She shook her head, and returned to her posse of guys.

Phillip stood for a moment. "I'm retracing every step in my head. What did I miss back then? I was so, so misled." He belted, his heart breaking with every lyric.

He then began singing the chorus, occasionally looking back at Macy when he did so.

"I'm waiting, waiting for nothing. You're leaving, leaving me hanging. When did your heart go missing? When did your heart go missing? I treat you like a Princess, but your life is just one big mess, when did your heart go missing, when did your heart go missing?" His heart broke with every note.

Aubrey and Phillip both began backing towards the middle of the dance floor, both completely heart broken.

"I don't-" Phillip cried.

"Understand!" Aubrey shouted.

"How could-"

"You forget!"

"Whaaaat"

"We had-"

The two rammed their backs against each other, and turned towards each other, singing in harmony, "It's so wrong..."

The instrumental part of the song started, and the two stood, staring at each other. Something was there. They had known each other slightly, but now, something was happening. Phillip extended his hand, and Aubrey took it. They went into a waltz position, and the two smiled as the chorus started up once again. The song became a faint echo as the two danced.

'Im waiting, waiting for nothing, you're leaving, leaving me hanging'

They danced in a circle, around the edge of what seemed to be a mosh pit, gaining more and more attention. Thy were doing more of a quickstep then a waltz, and people were clapping along.

"When did your heart go missing, when did your heart go missing"

Phillip spun Aubrey, causing her to giggle, and then continue there quickstep around the circle.

'I treat you like a Princess, but your life is just one big mess,"

The two danced and danced, soon catching the attention of Nick and Macy. They stood on the outer edge, glaring at the two as they danced.

Phillip and Aubrey noticed this, grinned, and let go of each other, turning around.

Aubrey pointed at Nick, making everyone stare as she sung, "When did your heart go missing?"

Phillip pointed at Macy, repeating what Aubrey had done. "When did your heart go missing?"

Macy and Nick huffed as the two heartbroken people returned to the embrace of one another. Nick folded his arms across his chest, glaring, and Macy snapped her fingers as all of her boys hoisted her into the air and carried her away.

As the song began to fade, Phillip and Aubrey didn't feel strained by weird feelings. This feeling they had for each other was brilliant, perfect. The got closer, until Aubrey was resting her head on his chest, and Phillip rested his chin on the crown of her skull. The two swayed, the music not matching their tempo, but they were happy.

For once, they were happy.
