Eve woke up on the floor feeling like shit. She slowly stood up flinching at the pain. Glaring at her face in the mirror, Eve ran her brush through her tangles as she got ready for school.

Connor didn't show up for school that day or for the weeks following afterwards. Eve, Liz, and Will all sat together under the tree. After about a month, Eve finally let her guard down. Will had assured her that Connor had most likely switched schools. Eve finally started relaxing around November.

"Eve! Want to go out for ice cream with me and Will?" Liz ran up to Eve, grabbing her wrist and tugging her back.

"I'd love to but I have a major Physics test coming up and Dr. Brown will indeed murder me, if I do not pass." Eve sighed softly, holding her textbook to her chest.

"Oh... no problem! Will is amazing at physics!"

"Really? You sure? I thought he had a 2.0 average..." Eve frowned uncertainly at Liz.

"Uh yeah totally! He's amazing! Just come on..." Liz grabbed Eve's hand dragging her.

They met Will there and when Eve mentioned physics, he just gave her a blank stare.

"I'm sorry... you do know I have a 2.0 right?" Will pulled out Eve's chair, letting her sit down.

"Liz..." Eve glanced over at Liz, and she grinned.

"Well since you're already here might as well eat some ice cream..." Liz took a spoonful of ice cream quickly dabbing some on Eve's nose.

Eve smirked rolling her eyes, and wiping the ice cream off.

"Shit! Boyfriend, got to go!" Liz jumped up, winking at Will before rushing off.

"Why does she always do that...?" Eve glanced over at Will before scooting over, sitting across from him, taking Liz's spot.

Will simply shrugged before glancing around. "Want to go watch the sun set?"

Eve grinned and nodded. "Of course! Wait... but my physics test is this Friday, which gives me two days to study." Eve quickly opened her book, flipping through it before Will closed it gently.

"Just relax Eve, you'll do fine." Will smiled encouragingly at her. "Come on, let's go." Will stood up holding out his hand, and Eve took it gratefully. He helped her up and they both walked outside to Will's not-so-fancy car.

"How come Liz is so rich but you're so..." Eve's voice trailed off as Will drove towards the place.

"Poor? Liz's mother got all the money." Will nodded and pulled up behind the tree. Eve quickly hopped out running up to the tree and scrambling up it, beating Will.

"Ha!" She stuck her tongue out at him.

"Your tongue is so short..." Will smirked, pulling himself up next to her.

"Don't make fun of my tongue. It's not my fault you have a freakishly long tongue." Eve playfully pushed Will and he grinned at her. Eve blushed faintly unable to tear her gaze away from Will's face.

Will leaned forward, tilting Eve's chin up slowly. He ran his thumb briefly against her cheek before pulling away. "You had an uh... eyelash." He smirked before turning to face the sunset.
