A week has passed and I'm starting to gain grades in Mathematics and Science. It's a great thing. What's not so great thing was Riley. I mean, he's a great friend. Actualy, he's not really annoying now. I miss it when he's annoying...

WOAH. WOAH. WOAH. WAIT. Did I just say I miss his annoying attitude?

Anyways, he was less annoying for the past week. He was more of a sweet person than annoying. What's with him?

BUT! That's not my point. The not so great thing about Riley was his studies. He wasn't showing up in one of the Tutor classes this week. He may have showed up once, but he had a failing mark in a long test. This was so confusing. He was a genius in their school. I mean, C'MON! The top one/valedictorian in their class is failing? That's something new. I wonder what's bothering him. I've decided to talk to him as we walk to the Tutorial Center.

"I've noticed something." I told him.

"Yeah?" he said.

"You've been failing a lot recently. I mean, I hear it from your conversations with Ms. Reynolds."

"What about it?"

"What's wrong with you, Riley? You shouldn't be leaving your studies behind. Now tell me, what's wrong."

"I am too focused on someone that I have no idea why I am even focused at that person." he said in an annoyed tone. This guy looks like he's on his man period. He has it worse.

"C'mon Ri. Let's just get a cone of ice cream and study in the tutorial center." I say while walking towards the direction to the ice cream shop. I felt like no one's following me so I looked back. "Riley, cool off for a bit." I said as I grabbed his hand.

I'm still curious. Why does this person affect him so much? I am getting worried for him because he is breaking a good opportunity for his future.

Sometimes, I don't understand myself.

I start to randomly miss the moments Riley and I weren't much of a best friend-material to each other.

I miss how he would compliment me with something before asking for paper.

I miss how we would pull strands of hair from my hair.

I miss how we would fight over topics we take in Mathematics and Science.

And Now? I am worried about him! Who was he focused with? If this was a girl, I am going to punch him in the balls for an illegal reason to fail class.

But whateve it is, I am going to help him. May it be a problem in his life, the loss of self-confidence, a girl, or lack of study time. I am going to help him.

We finished Ice Cream and we headed to tutor class. This day was different. Riley stayed outside most of the time, and he barely answered a worksheet. What is wrong with this guy? Ms. Reynolds came inside our room and asked me where Riley is. I just shrugged at her.

"I am worried about the guy." Ms. Reynolds said.

"Well, I'm worried for him too. I am scared to see him fail. I miss the former him."

"Wow. Wow. Wow. What have we got here? You have been with him more than I had time with him as his teacher and you're telling me you miss him? The old him. Which was the him 2 or 3 weeks ago?"

I feel my face heating up. Oh right. In biological terms it's the rising of blood towards your cheeks. But in girl terms, it's blushing.

"It's nothing I was just concerned."

"Well, I feel like there's something up between you two. But whatever it is, remember to stay good in your studies." She hugged me and said that she will try talking to Riley, to see his point of view.

Well was there really something between us? Or is it just me having thoughts because I... kinda like... Riley....

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

YES! NATASHA FINALLY ADMITTED IT. ANYWAYS, Sorry for the super late update. This update is also kinda pointless. I promise to make the next chapter better than this. I am in a major writer's block because I am writing a lot of stories and scripts. Agh. Anyways hope you like it. Until the next update! x
