Riley and Billy Batson may have been twins, but they were so vastly different that some found it hard to believe that they were twins in the first place.
Billy was the kinder one out of the pair. Riley was one who wasn't afraid to speak her mind and fight back, but Billy was the one that liked to avoid the fighting and instead tried to solve things through his words rather than through his fists like his sister did.
Billy had light brown hair and hazel-green eyes and looked a lot like their mother. His family was one of the most important things in his life, Riley being number one. His protective side always came out when he was around his sister and he was never joking when he said he would do anything and everything for the girl and the same went for Riley.
Riley was the other half of the pair. She had dirty blonde hair and rich blue-green eyes that always contained some sort of sparkle within them. People always said she looked a lot like her father, but they tended not to mention it around her mother much and Riley didn't understand why.
She was also the happier one of the two, always laughing and cracking jokes every chance she got. That didn't mean that Billy was any less happy, but Riley was the one that always seemed to have a smile on her face no matter what was going on.
She was super protective when it came to the people she cared about which is why she tended to get in a lot of fights as a kid. If anyone so much as looked at her brother the wrong way, Riley wasn't afraid to throw a fist in their direction much to their mother's dismay.
Overall, the Batson twins had different hair color, different facial structures, and different personalities. So to say it was hard to believe that they were twins was almost an understatement.
But then everyone would see the way that the two seemed to have a connection that ran deeper than just a sibling bond. They would see the way that they couldn't seem to go on without the other, the way they never left each other's side, and the way that they always understood what the other needed without either of them having to speak any words. And then they knew.
Riley and Billy Batson were twins.
And that twin connection that they had would prove useful after the fateful day at the carnival when the four years old were abandoned by the very person they called their mother.
Marilyn Batson let out a small sigh as the dart she had thrown hit the board instead of hitting the balloon she was aiming for. She quickly picked up another dart only for it to miss its target as well.
Four year old Billy frowned from where he was sitting on top of the counter next to Riley before looking to his mother and saying, "I want the tiger."
