Riley let out a shaky breath as she reached under her pillow and pulled out the notebook that held so much importance and hope within its pages. She opened it to the last page that she had written on, the one that had the address 21 Hoffman Street marked out.

Riley's fingers ran across the words before she uncapped her pen and began to write some more. She paused once she was done and smiled down at the newly written words that read the Vasquez House.

Riley's smile grew a little more and she took the pen before circling the words, a way of saying that she had finally found what she had been looking for, a home. The blonde then closed the book before waking over to where the trash can in the room was. She stared at the notebook in her hand and hesitated.

"Hey, Riles. Whatcha doing?" a voice asked and Riley looked over her shoulder to see Mary walking into their shared room with a smile on her face. Mary set her stuff down on her bed before walking over to the girl.

She looked down at the notebook before giving Riley a curious look. "What's that?" Mary asked. "It's a notebook with a list of all the possible homes for me and Billy," Riley explained. Mary opened her mouth to question her, but Riley cut her off by dropping the notebook into the trash can.

"We don't need it anymore," Riley said. Mary watched the girl for a second before smiling and wrapping an arm around Riley. "Good," the older girl said.

Riley smiled up at the girl who was pretty much her sister now. Mary squeezed her once before a mischievous look appeared on her face. "Now that that's over, I have something I wanted to talk to you about," Mary told her.

"Yeah, what's up?" Riley asked as she walked over to her bed. She picked up her bottle of water that was by her bed and took a sip, but once all she heard was silence, the blonde turned to see Mary sitting on her bed with a grin on her face. Riley raised an eyebrow and gave her a questioning look.

"So. . .you and Freddy, huh?"

Riley blinked in shock and began to choke on her water. The blonde went into a coughing fit while Mary's grin continued to grow. Once Riley had stopped coughing, she looked to the older girl with a red face.

Whether it was from having just choked on water or blushing, they would never know. But something told Mary it was more blushing than anything.

"M-me and Freddy?" Riley questioned, her voice coming out squeakier than usual. "What are you talking about?"

Mary rolled her eyes. "Oh come on, Riley. I know you two like each other. Not to mention you two almost kissed last night after we saved the world," Mary said.
