"And where do I belong?"
"Here with me."

"Big school," Darla said as the Victor and Rosa drove away, leaving the group of kids standing in front of the school. "Two thousand students you might think, 'Wow, so many strangers.' But not if you think of them as possible future friends then, 'Wow, so many friends.'"
Riley smiled softly, but then her eyes found their way up to the school in front of her and she gulped nervously. She was used to switching schools, but it still got her every time. Something about being the new kid had never gone right for her and transferring during the middle of the year right before Christmas break only made it worse.
Riley went to reach for her brother in comfort only to find him walking towards the school with Darla, leaving her behind. The blonde frowned slightly, but someone lightly nudging her had her snapping out of her thoughts.
Riley turned to see Freddy standing there with a cute grin on his face. "Ready?" He asked. "Sort of. Just a little nervous," Riley admitted. "Don't be. You've already got the coolest kid in the school as your friend," Freddy told her as he smirked.
"Pedro is pretty cool, isn't he?" Riley teased making the boy in front of her frown. "I was talking about me," he practically whined. Riley let out a loud laugh before patting the boy's shoulder. "Don't worry, you're pretty cool too," she told him and Freddy instantly blushed.
"Riley! Freddy!" a voice yelled out and the two turned to see Darla waving at them from the front of the building with Billy, Mary, Pedro, and Eugene by her side. "Coming!" They both yelled before hurrying over to the group.
As they approached them on the stairs, Darla started talking again. "Well, you missed some of what I was saying, Riley. But the principal, her name is Shirley. She's the best. You'll like her if you ever happen to meet her," Darla assured her.
Riley nodded and her eyes locked with her brother. Billy walked over to stand by her side and Riley smiled slightly at the fact that her brother was still with her. The kids started to walk inside the school and she felt Billy reach out and grip her hand before the twins walked in after them.
The first thing they saw was a huge security scanner at the front of the school. Everyone had to take their backpacks off and get them checked, so the twins let go of each other and started to take theirs off. Darla handed her backpack over first before turning to the twins.
"This is our security scanner," Darla told them. "Like in an airport. It's totally safe." "I know what it is," Billy said. He then glanced over at Eugene who was next to them playing on one of his many devices. "Is she always like this?" Billy asked.
"Silence makes me uncomfortable," Darla explained. "She's almost never uncomfortable," Eugene muttered.
They all got their backpacks back before Mary, Eugene, and Pedro parted ways. That left Freddy, Riley, Billy, and Darla. Darla was quick to run over and wrap Riley in a hug.
