Pearl was coming back to her shared apartment with Marina from hanging out with a friend. As she walked through the door and yelled, "Yo Marina, I'm home!" She then saw Marina sitting on the couch holding a book of some sorts, but startled by pearl and jumped a bit.

Marina was startled when Pearl had yelled, her eyes widened and quickly put the book she had along with a pencil behind a pillow. But Pearl had already walked up to Marina, "Hi Pearlie." Marina said more calm then she really was and looked up to Pearl.

"What's that book ya have over there?" Pearl asked curiosity filled her eyes.

Marina blushed teal, looking at Pearl, "Oh nothing much." she replied quickly.

Pearl frowned and moved the pillow, Marina tried to stop her but Pearl was too quick. Pearl took the book and looked at it, the book was a sky blue color and had spirals keeping it together. 'Keep out please' Was written on it with the words with 'Marina Ida' under it. Before Pearl could open the book Marina took it out of her hands.

"Hey!" Pearl said stubbornly, spreading her arms apart.

Marina held the book to her chest, "It says keep out." Marina said quietly her cheeks basically fully teal now.

Pearl's expression changed into a smile and sat down next to Marina looking at the octoling, "Ya don't have to be embarrassed to show me! Now lemme see." The inkling held out her small arms and giving the single with her hands 'give me'.

Marina sighed and put the book down on her lap. "It's a sketch book Pearl, nothing much." Marina said, her eyes looking from her sketch book to Pearl.

"Wait, you draw?" Pearl asked looking into Marina's eyes. The octoling nodded putting her dark skinned arms over the sketch book. "How come ya never told me?" Pearl said faking an upset face.

Marina shrugged. "I never found a point, I would usually draw when I was by myself or late at night." She told Pearl with a small smile forming on her face, still blushing but not as much.

"I think that's pretty cool! Can I see one?" Pearl asked excitingly getting up from the couch.

Marina looked down at her sketch book and then at Pearl, "Anything for my Pearlie." she said looking at Pearl. Her gaze then went back down to her sketch book, her tentacles swaying in every direction. 'What if she doesn't like my art?' 'Will she still see me the same after I show her?' 'What if she thinks it's a waste of time?' These thoughts ran through Marina's mind. She decided to take the risk anyway and show Pearl, she opened up to a random drawing of Jud and Lil' Jud and showed it to Pearl not looking at Pearl's reaction.

Pearl looked down to the sketch book at the drawing, her face lit up with a tint of light pink. "Awe, this is adorable Rina!" the inkling basically squealed. "It's so good! Ya gotta teach me!" Pearl's sentence made Marina look back at Pearl, her eyes big and sparkling.

"R-Really? Sure! I'll teach you Pearl!" Marina said getting up from the couch, she turned around to get her pencil and felt Pearl get on her back.

"On ward! Let's go!" Pearl joked pointing her finger to the hallway.

Marina picked up the pencil and turned her head, but quickly moved her arms so she could support Pearl. Marina giggled at Pearl's comment. "Anything for my precious Pearlie!"
