Prologue

I quickly wet my eyes with my saliva as the music began -

Just as I was about to sing the chorus, my mom called from downstairs, "Leo, breakfast!" I huffed and replied with annoyance, "Coming mom!" I shut off the video recorder that had been recording me and went downstairs.

Hi, my name is Leo Harper. I'm happy and Gay - it's a pun! I'm 17 years old and currently studying in class 11. I have black hair, brown eyes and I'm short. And I'm a YouTube singer. Yep, I sing popular songs and I'm pretty famous I guess. I am awesome and i know it. Don't be jealous. I have more than 1000 subscribers - Wait. Cut out the last three zeros.

I was singing "Wrecking ball" by Miley Cyrus when my mom interrupted my beautiful video. I personally don't like the song much, I mean just look at the lyrics above - doesn't make any sense, but it's so popular that I decided to cover it with my *cough cough* uh-mazing voice. Not trying to boast or anything. Some people compare my voice to a crow but I always take it as a compliment. I like crows.

I ran downstairs and sat at the table. Scrambled eggs, bread and butter and milk. I quickly gulped down my food, said goodbye to my parents and rushed to school.

I ran across the hallway towards my locker where I found my best friend Cathy waiting for me. Cathy is my best friend - oh wait, I already told you that - and standing beside her was our nerdy friend Josh, and standing beside him was Marcy - the school drama queen - who quickly walked away with her fellow minions, and standing beside her in the last locker was . . .Wait -

"Who the heck is that?", I hissed excitedly at Cathy.

"Kevin Matthews. New student. 18. Same class. Moved here from Texas. Single", she quickly filled me with the new information.

Man, he was gorgeous! Golden-brown hair, muscular tanned body, a tattoo on his arm, dark blue eyes and juicy kissable lips.

"Is he gay?"

"No idea."

Damn!

"I'm going to talk to him", I declared.

"Not a good idea, Leo. Many people already approached him but he refuses to talk to anybody. He's rude and mean."

I smirked at her and walked towards the hot guy. But as I neared him, I heard him mutter, "Another jerk", and he walked away.

My jaw dropped open in shock and then anger took over. WTF?

"Excuse me, you dickhead! I'm being a jerk? It's you who is acting like a jerk! How dare you call me a jerk, you jerk!"

Wow, so many jerks!

Kevin rolled his eyes. "Listen here, kid. Stop bothering me and go play with dolls or something."

Did he just call me a kid ?!

"Wha - What! You arrogant, rude, mean, stupid bastard! What do you think of yourself? I was just trying to befriend you and I didn't even speak a word, but you dared to call me a 'jerk'! What the heck is your problem?"

"Maybe it's you."

I opened my mouth to throw some chosen blasphemous words at him, but just then, the bell rang and everyone started rushing towards their classes. I soon lost the new boy in the crowd.

"Told ya", Cathy said from behind.

I huffed and stomped towards my class.

I'm never gonna talk to that gorgeous prick again. Hmmph!
