My cell phone buzzed, signalling the arrival of a text message, but I just ignored it. This was the twenty sixth message that Kevin had sent, but I wasn't replying to any of his texts. Besides this, I also had seventeen missed calls.
I don't know what to do.
My boyfriend is a freaking criminal. He had been lying to me, lying to everyone, right from the start. And me? I kept pursuing him like an idiot. I was a fool. A fool who fell for a wanted criminal.
I was scared. And sad. And angry. What was I supposed to do?
I wiped my tears as my cell phone began blaring my ring tone. After a huge hesitation, I received the call.
"Hel - Hello?"
"Oh thank god, Leo! Finally! Why aren't you answering any of my calls or texts? I thought something bad happened!"
Yes. Something bad happened. "No", I said, "I broke my cup so my mom took away my cell phone for a while. I just got it back."
"Oh, ok. Ummm...are you alright? You sound a bit...off?"
No, I'm not alright at all. "I'm fine."
"Ok, so...I - uh - I was wondering if you wanted to....ahem...go out for dinner tomorrow...with me?"
"D - dinner?" Oh no.
"Yeah...a dinner date...but if you have some other plan, it's ok - errrmm... you don't have any plan tomorrow, right?"
A plan? Yes, I actually do have a plan - one that you might not like at all.
"Pick me up at seven", I said.
That's it for now. I really do apologise for the short length of the chapter. What do you think is Leo's plan? Is he gonna confront Kevin? How will the dinner date go?
