"Hey Mom, if a guy asked you out and you were new in town where would you like to go?" I know, I know am asking my mother for advice, but what can I say, apparently I mastered the whole random hook up at a party thing, but I have never, EVER asked a girl out on a proper date, so am a little off my game here.

"Is my baby boy finally gonna go on a date?" she said with a smile that could light up a block. Damn mom is gonna make a really big deal out of this. I looked at her with an annoyed expression and shrugged "maybe" trying to sound nonchalant should work...right?

"Are you having a date son?"my father said grabbing my mom by the waist kissing her cheek lovingly. Aaaand all my efforts to sound casual are out the window.

"Common guys don't make a big deal out of this ok?, yes I asked the new girl out, but no I don't want to talk about it, I shouldn't have asked for advice" I said trying to leave, key word trying, as soon as turned around to go, my dad grabbed me by the shoulder and dragged me to the house garage.

"Son, am only gonna say this once and then we are never gonna talk about this"

"dad I don't need the sex talk ok, this is really just a-"

"Shh... Alexander I know you have already had sex, and I believe you wrap it in foil, before you check her oil" he said with a stern face.

How do dad's say those things with a straight face, I couldn't help myself I blew out laughing. "What the hell dad, yes I  wear a condoms ok?"

"Good, now Alex about this girl, do you like her, like her or his this just a fun time?"looking at my pops, I knew I couldn't lie, the man was everything I strive to be one day, he's my role model and I just have to come clean to him. 

"I like her, she's different pops, when am around her I get all weird and clumsy, and she just.. I don't know, I guess I wanna figure her out" and there it was the ugly truth I liked Sophie. 

I was already stressing, I mean I like her, now what is this? I haven't even gone on one date with her yet, but I do know I don't wanna screw this up, she is different from the girls at school that always want me to take them somewhere on the cars we own,  or that want to be around me for what I can buy them, Sophie seems genuine, like she's just happy with herself, and is totally confident being her, I like that.

Dad looked at me with an amused expression and said " well then son, I guess it's time I teach you how to woo a girl properly then" well damn I guess the old man still has some things up his sleeve to teach me.

We spent the next few hours making arrangements, I texted Sophie to let her know I would pick her up at 7, and got in the shower to get ready. I decided to put on black jeans with a white shirt and a black leather jacket, and went to look for the car dad said would be the best option.

I drove eagerly to Sophie's house and I arrived a few minutes early,  I rang the bell and waited for the beautiful brunette to open the door but I was disappointed when her brother got it instead.

"What you doing here?"he said looking at me like I was some kind of a bug to squash.

"Am here to pick up Sophie, we have a date" I tried to looked behind him but his sudden scream got me looking at him with his wide eyed expression "A DATE WITH YOU?!, NO NO NO, Hell no, you are not taking out my sister Andretti" he spat in my face. I was about to burst into anger myself from his reaction, when he was interrupted.  "I will decide who I'll date not you Bam Bam ok?" I think all the air left my lungs as I glanced at Sophie speaking to her brother, GOD she looks hot, her dark hair is in soft curls down her back, and she was wearing an outfit that made me think this is the goddess wet dreams are made of.
