"James, Lily come down breakfast is ready..." No answer.

"Please kids hurry up, we can't be late to the christening". Lord give me patience, they are my kids, but how come they can never be ready when I asked them to.

"We are coming love, don't worry, Lily just couldn't find her new doll and James was helping her find it" my hunk came running down the stairs of our house with our eldest son James on tow and the youngest Lily walking behind them.

"Sorry mummy"said my eldest son getting down from his fathers shoulder to take a seat at the table. "Momma, Jamie founded me doll" I swear the lord I could eat the kid up, she's so cute!

"He FOUND your doll Lils, not founded. Now hurry up babies seat and eat your food"

Alexander came around the kitchen island, I eyed him suspiciously and said "Alex, you are spoiling the kids again aren't you?, you bought them new toys?" he never stops getting stuff for our children, I swear he only gets worse with time, they have him wrapped around their little fingers, specially little Lily, I feel sorry for the boy that will want to gain her heart, cause between her dad and brother, the poor kid doesn't stand a chance.

"Of course I did, my children will want for nothing babe, and so will my wife" he said handing me a long velvet box.

"God Alexander, what is this?, you shouldn't have" I opened the box slowly and inside there was a gold bracelet with hearts intertwine like an infinite on it.

"It's beautiful Alex, but why are you giving me this now?" I said kissing his cheek.

My nice husband decided to swipe me off my feet and carried me to our dining room. "Well wifey,  is for our 5th year anniversary, and we have to celebrate" he kissed my cheek and hugged me close

"No it's not hubby, our anniversary is next week" I said giving him a sly grin. I got off his hold and strutted to the kitchen to check the breakfast of the kids, but he got a hold of my waist and pulled me back against his chest before I got the chance to leave.

I tried to look back at him, but he got near my hear and whispered, "I know Amore, but our celebration starts today"

"What do you mean?, we have many things to do today stud" I asked perplexed, we can't do anything today, we have to be in the church in a little while, and then there's the coctel, and dinner with the family.

"Actually Sophie, we all lied to get you ready, without you suspecting all the planing that was going on, the christening isn't happening today,  because we are gonna leave for 10 days on our  anniversary trip to Rome" he said holding two plane tickets in front of me.

"Wha-how, I mean I can't go Alex, I have to work, I have patients, and the kids, and you have the new Porsche job, we cant leave right now" I tried to not sound so disappointed, the thing is when we got married we didn't go on a honeymoon because we were just graduates and we had things to do, we got our first place, and we just weren't there financially, then came the kids, and we just kept putting it off. I always wanted to go to Rome with him, but now again is not a good time.

"It's all taken care of, the kids are gonna stay with your dad, and my parents will have them on the weekend. I called your work and Carrie your boss said she will cover for you, and wished you good luck, Oh! and before worry yourself out, my new job had absolutely no issue with giving their new star engineer a few days before the beginning of the development of new projects"

I didn't  know what to say, all this years together and my man still manages to surprise me in the best way. I jumped him and wrapped my legs around his torso kissing him crazy.

"You are amazing!, thank you Hub, you are the absolute best." I said kissing his face.

"well wife, I love that you are happy, but you need to hurry up and say goodbye to the kids, the car to pick us up to the airport will be here any minute, then you can thank me on  the plane" Alex said wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

I smiled like a loon, "But Alex, I haven't even done my bag,  need to pack first, this is too sudden"

"Its already by the door, don't worry about anything, your mom got everything you need ready, and if you miss something I can just buy you a new one"

"Well then my husband, I guess I will actually have to thank you on the plane" he might have tripped a little with my offer.

"You cant take that back Soph, am gonna be collecting on fligh"

"Of course I won't"  He's been insatiable this last couple of years, one would think you husband  should get bored of you once you are hitched, yet my hunk hasn't we are still has happy as we were in high school

"God I love you Sophie, you make everything worth it wife" queue to fireworks people, the hunk gets me all the time.

"I love you too Husband, you are my happily ever after"

Life with Alexander is always a happy place, we sometimes have a few hiccups along the way, but I know as long as have him, no matter what happens we'll be alright...Together.
