He didn't tell anyone where he was going. Not that it mattered. Nobody cared for him like he cared for everyone else. He was completely alone in this world. Once upon a time he had friends. But they grew up. After graduation, he disappeared, not leaving a trace to his whereabouts. He didn't want people to find him. After all, he was much better on his own.

"I guess it'd be best if I go out right now.." He jumped swiftly off the window sill, something that took months to master, and quietly crept along the walls that surrounded the outskirts of town. The things that everybody overlooked were things that he looked into. He had found many things that way.

He wasn't exactly sure where he was headed, but he was headed somewhere. Somewhere to clear his head or to get out of his house, he had no idea. But it was always a nice break when he did venture outside.

He heard cats mewl softly into the night air. Nobody really went into the outskirts at night unless they were robbers or criminals of some kind. He was about to walk into a shop to gather some food up, when he heard footsteps approach. They were quiet, but not quiet like a criminal's would be.

He decided not to take his chances and scurried to the side of a building, peeking at the approaching figure. The figure shaped and formed a boy, not much younger than he was. The boy had spiky brown hair and wore a light green hoodie with dark jeans.

W-wait....Hinata-kun?

He watched Hajime walk down the street, kicking pieces of broken glass up until he reached the creek, one of both of the boy's all time favorite places to go.

Why is Hinata-kun here? Last I heard, he started dating Koizumi-san! He carefully crept out from the shadows, following Hajime to the creek. Hajime picked up a rock and tossed it into the creek with a satisfying ploosh.

He stepped closer to Hajime, careful not to make sound. Hajime picked up a broken piece of glass and dragged it across his hand. "Hinata-kun stop!" Hajime turned around, coming face to face with-well, Hajime got tackled and both boys fell into the creek.

"Ugh....so cold.." Hajime said, turning to the boy who had tackled him. "Komaeda?" Hajime stared at the white-haired boy he had assumed dead oh so long ago.

"H-hi..." Nagito scratched the back of his head, looking away, before turning back to Hajime with wide eyes. "Why did you cut your hand Hinata-kun?! That's gonna get infected if you don't treat it!"

Hajime lifted his hand from the water, the cool liquid leaving a slight sting on the cut. "Ah..I'll treat it when I get home. Why are you here? I thought....we thought you were dead!" Nagito looked at Hajime, question in his eyes, before realizing what he had meant by "we". He was referring to their old classmates.

"Ah, well....after graduation..I kinda just...left. Nobody really cared about me and I didn't want to be a burden so...I left! Even now, nobody has cared to look for me or anything, so I just stayed here!" Nagito smiled, giving off his usual look of happiness, even though Hajime knew that Nagito had secretly wished someone was there to help him.

How long has he been living like this? Nagito was dirtied and torn, his clothes looking old and small. Nagito's facial features hadn't changed a single bit, however. Maybe some hair growth, but he still had the same pale green eyes and the same fluffy white hair with that tint of peach you could see when he turned.

"Komaeda...I don't like seeing you like this...come with me." Hajime took Nagito out of the creek, taking him by the hand and walking to his house. Nagito wanted to refuse, but there was no way he could. Hajime had always been someone Nagito had seen the most hope in afterall. He had that..aura. It's what made him the Ultimate Hope.

"Hinata-kun...if you're taking me to your house, I'll have to decline. I appreciate you wanting to be nice and all, but trash like me really shouldn't be going with someone as hopeful as you anyway.." Hajime ignored that comment and kept walking, tightening his grip on Nagito just a little.

Nagito noticed the blood dripping off of Hajime's hand. It plopped on the floor, making a soft plopping sound each time. If Hajime had noticed, he obviously didn't care.

"Hinata-kun...?" Hajime turned towards Nagito just a little. "I'm taking you to my house. If you've been living there since graduation, you'll need things like a shower, clean clothes, food, and lots of other stuff. I may not have seen you in awhile, but we were friends! Showing you this kindness is simply because you were my friend and I hate seeing you like this." Nagito whipped his hand from Hajime's grip.

"Are you sure it isn't out of pity?" Nagito asked. Hajime gave him a sincere look, one that clearly showed what he was thinking. "No, it's not out of pity. I hate pity as much as the next guy, so why would I want to show that to someone else?" Nagito sighed.

I really can't stop him can I? Nagito sighed, taking a spot by Hajime's side as they walked. "Alright, but if I'm coming home with you, you have to let me treat your hand. I have some supplies in my pocket I think." Nagito reached into his pocket, pulling out ointment, bandages, bandaids, gauze, and many other medical supplies.

"Alright..but you have to let me get these things for you. Come on, we're almost there."
