Hajime sat at the table, tapping his fork on the cherrywood. Nagito sat across from him, slurping up his soba, then looking up to see that Hajime wasn't eating.
"What's wrong Hajime? Something on your mind?" Nagito asked, finishing up his soba and getting up to place his bowl in the sink.
"It's nothing really...just...If it's Mioda-san's party, Koizumi-san will probably be there, right?" Nagito's pale green eyes widened as he realized how scared and unprepared Hajime might feel at the moment. "Well, yeah, but that's okay, right? I mean, there will probably be other people there that we know, like Nanami-san or Pekoyama-san. Plus, it's not like you really have to talk to her right? I mean, you guys are dating right?" Komaeda cursed his salt covered words that he must've rubbed into Hajime's wounds.
Hajime tightened his grip on his fork. Nagito had just wanted to hear it from Hajime's mouth, that he and Mahiru were no longer a 'thing'.
"Actually Komaeda, we broke up. It wasn't that long ago..but it's nothing big. How about you? Are you worried about seeing our classmates again?" Nagito froze up, clenching the sponge he was using to clean his bowl tightly. "Ah, a little bit, but it's nothing I should worry about. Afterall, I doubt it'll really be much of a reunion. I don't think they'd want to see insufficient, lowly, scum like me anyway."
Hajime scoffed and got up from his seat, pushing his soba aside. "Are you kidding? You know we were friends with them Komaeda. Why wouldn't they be excited to see you? I mean, considering that you were gone for so long, they'd have to be excited, right?" Nagito sighed and tugged on his fluffy locks.
"Yeah, I guess...let's just get changed then." Hajime nodded and they headed up the steps together, going to their respective rooms.

Hajime pulled on his black coat and tied his bowtie. The suspenders were a nice touch to his outfit and he especially loved the shoes. I really hope Nanami is gonna be there..she's my best friend and without her, I might just break down...but I can't just think about me...Komaeda needs help and support too....
Hajime made sure his ahoge was sharper than ever and stepped out of his room. "Komaeda! I'll be downstairs, so tell me when you're ready." "Okay!" Hajime headed downstairs and pulled out his phone.
I-bu-ki Mio-da It starts at 7:00 PM Hinata-chan!
Hajime chuckled and replied with a simple, 'k', then put his phone back in his pocket. The pitter patter of footsteps was heard as the albino tumbled downstairs.
His hair was very different from its usual style and the suit clung to Nagito like old worn shoes that hugged your feet. "Wow Komaeda! That suit looks awesome on you!" Hajime remarked, admiring the stitching and the colors. "Thank you Hinata-kun...However, I think your suit looks much better on you." Nagito smiled, pink dusting his face.
Hajime smiled and led Nagito out to his car.
