Chapter 32 - Victoria

Simon's POV:

"I'm bi" said JJ
"And I'm straight" Said Vik

There were confused looks on almost all of our faces.

"But you're dating a guy and you're a guy" Said Harry
"I'm not a guy, well biologically I am but that's as far as my maleness goes. I'm trans" He said voice wavering and tears coming from his eyes.

We quickly all pulled them into a group hug.

"Guys we love you no matter what" Tobi

"Yeah we love you as people not because of who you love or what you are" Ethan

"So what would you prefer to be called?"

"Still Vik but with a C instead of a K as in Victoria, I've always liked that name and used to pretend my name meant it when I was little" she replied

"Well I think it's really pretty" said Josh

"Thanks guys, it really means so much for you to be supportive of me"
"I told you they would be" JJ said pulling her into his side

"So details" I said and they looked at me confusedly "when did you two get together?"

"Oh it was a year a couple of days ago" JJ said nonchalantly

"How have you kept it a secret for that long?" Harry asked

"I don't know honestly" Vic said

"Is that how you knew she was apologising?" Tobi asked

"Yeah, I got lucky trying to play that off cause they hugged" JJ said chuckling

"So how long have you known about Vic?" Ethan asked

"About two months into the relationship" JJ said

*Flashback*

(Vic lives with her dad. Her mom died when she was little)

Vic's POV:

"What if he hates me. What if he doesn't want me anymore. What if he doesn't live me. What if-" I said to my dad through my phone. JJ was coming over soon and I planned on telling him but I was so worried

"Vic, it's going to be ok. He loves you and if he doesn't accept you then he doesn't deserve you. I'll be home in an hour you can wait for me to tell him if you want."

"I love him so much. He's gonna hate me, everyone's gonna hate me" I couldn't breathe, it felt like I was suffocating. My words were barely coherent through my sobs and tears which were streaming down my face.

"Vic, be sensible about it yeah. Do you honestly think he will have a bad reaction? If so don't do it yet or at least wait until I get home to do it. But if you think he won't react bad then tell him. He loves you I know he does."

"Ok thanks" I said and hung up.

There was a knock on the door and I was trying to calm my breathing still and wiping the tears from my face. The logical part of my brain told me he was JJ of course he would accept me. The emotional catastrophiser part of my brain was going wild with all the worst possibilities.

"It's open" I said knowing it was JJ

"Hey babe" he said coming into the living room where I was curled up on the sofa a smile on his face. However after noticing me and the 'state' I was in his face dropped and he immediately rushed to me.

"What's wrong baby?" He asked invading me tightly in his arms and kissing the top of my head

"How would you feel if I told you I'm different to what you originally thought" I said trying to remain as calm as possible

"I would ask you what you mean?" He said in a soft, calming voice

"You love me right?" I asked

"Of course I do, more than anything else in the world"

"I love you too" I said "I don't know how to say it without being direct so I'm just gonna do it. I'm trans"

His grip tightened on me and he ran his fingers through my hair.

"Do you still love me?" I asked

"Of course I do. I love every and anything about you. What do you want me to call you?"

"Still Vik but with a C as in Victoria"

"I love it"

"So you don't think of me as any different now"

"No, your still my baby, just now your my baby girl"
My heart melted at those words and that became my new favourite nickname he had for me.

And with that I fell asleep

JJ's POV:

When Vic's dad got back she was fast asleep in my arms on the sofa still.

"Hey JJ" He said putting his stuff down from his day at work

"Hey Mr Barn"

"Awwww" He said "I take it Vic told you"

"Yeah how'd you know"

"If she hadn't she would have been to anxious to have fallen asleep"

"Makes sense"

"So you took it well?" He said almost a statement almost a question

"Yeah, I love her no matter what"
