For a moment, I was fearful that the wolf could see my brothers but I knew that that wasn't the case. More than likely, it sensed them. It was a higher up wolf, most likely an alpha. They are leaders, fighters, protectors. Alpha senses, based on what I personally know, are more advanced. They are bigger, stronger, smarter. I think during my time down in the basement that I had let up on the mental shield and that maybe the scent blocker that my power created worn off. This wasn't good.

I didn't know much about werewolves, I'll admit that, but I knew about wolves. They are hunters, locking onto their prey and I knew that they didn't easily let an enemy go without a fight. I had a feeling that simply walking out wasn't an option anymore.

My brothers, Mitchell and Ivan stood there glancing at the werewolf. They were shaking slightly, and I could tell that they were making eye contact, even though the werewolf can't see them. They were trying to look confident but I could see through it, they were scared, afraid of the wolf that stood before them.

Mitchell's eyes slide over to our direction and his eyes widened when he saw Byrnn standing next to me. His eyes darkened for a moment when he saw all the bruises that covered Byrnn. I think since he's a vampire, that he'll heal if he drinks some blood. I think that had been what he was doing when he was caught by the werewolves earlier. I personally can't imagine how he must have felt, fear, panic, it must have been awful. No wonder he was kind of clinging to me. That, and I think he's kind of freaked out because he's invisible. Maybe he thinks it's all fake and that it's all in his head . . .

God that would be a weird situation to talk him out of . . .

The wolf suddenly growling made my eyes snap towards the direction that the wolf stood. He was sniffing a lot, mostly in the direction of the staircase where my two brothers were standing. It made me wonder where Junior was, a sudden concern for my other brother made me look towards Mitchell and mouthed, since I'm sure if the noise is still hidden, 'Have you seen Junior?'

The reaction was immediate. Mitchell was instantly looking a whole lot more concerned then he was moments before, even though he was currently being glared at, more like the wolf was glaring in that direction, by a large black werewolf. In a way, the werewolf looked intimidating, like it could kill you simply from a look, but at the same time, when I looked at the wolf, I didn't feel like I was in danger, which was weird. Earlier when the werewolves were kidnapping Byrnn, I had felt panic, a large amount of adrenaline and of course, an amount of fear that can't be described.

To me, the wolf was beautiful. Its black fur was more of a midnight black, with hints of blue underneath the light. Although I couldn't see it's eye color I could imagine it as a beautiful shade of whatever color it may be. The wolf was higher than my waist by maybe a couple of inches, larger than an average wolf. I knew that this wolf could intimidate any other wolf simply by his stature. I wanted to run my fingers through his fur and see if it was as soft as I imagined it to be before I realized how stupid that would be. I may be invisible but my touch is not.

Due to my daze, I hadn't noticed the sound of someone entering the room but when I did my heart stopped. A boy, taller than me, talked through the doorway, holding Junior in a hold around his neck. Junior looked panicked his eyes darting around the room, my cloak no longer affecting him. My eyes snapped to Mitchell and he was looking at his brother, his fists tightening into a ball as he forced himself to hold back.

"I'm Eli, the future beta of this pack, and all of you, are trespassing." The beta said, holding Junior tighter by the neck. "So unless you want my alpha to lose his patience, I demand you show yourselves and we'll see about you walking out of here." The beta said, I heard Junior choked slightly, and I suddenly panicked. In a panic I looked over at Mitchell, wondering what we should do.
