Red P.O.V
"I can sense you, malediction."
A woman's voice said calmly, startling me to jumping and looking around the room hesitantly. At the moment I couldn't really see anybody but I knew that someone was here. Someone, a woman, had just spoken. I should know that looks can be deceiving. I mean I am an example by myself.
I didn't exactly know the last word that the woman I can't see yet said. What is a malediction? I hesitantly step further into the room, keeping the mental barrier up and my fosters siblings invisibility strong, making sure to work even harder to keep Mitchell, Junior, and Ivan's more so than the rest. I know the ones in the woods watching the patrol wolves need a cloak but the ones in the house are at a large risk of bumping into a person high up in terms of the pack. I may not know all the terms but I know that an Alpha is a leader and that if one of my siblings suddenly encountered an Alpha that we'd be screwed.
I walked towards the center of the oval-shaped room to see what appeared to be another room inside of this room. It was weird, this room. In the middle of the maze of bookshelves, was a warm setting. A counter was on the corner wall, vials covering it. Herbs were hanging from the ceiling, herbs that I certainly couldn't recognize by name. A table was in the center, covered in beakers and vials, filled with liquids of every color. There was a woman standing at this table, she was quietly crunching up leaves of a plant.
"I have sensed a curse as bad as yours in a long time." The woman said looking up but not looking directly at me, more like in my direction. It was weird. I looked down at myself to ensure that I was still invisible. I was. I move to the left slightly and the woman's eyes general shift towards the direction I moved. How could this woman see me? Well maybe she couldn't see me, more so maybe she could sense me? I don't know this was weird for me.
I took a couple of steps towards her. I didn't like this woman, she was making me question the extent of my abilities. I looked at her more clearly. She had black, wavy hair, curls that seemed like they were a b*tch to straighten and comb. Her white pale skin was clear of blemishes. She was beautiful in her own way and if I wasn't gay I would have found her beauty to be comparable to the beauty of a goddess. Thankful, my homosexuality prevented me from feeling any form of attraction to this woman.
"You can reveal yourself you know, I won't hurt you." She said looking back down at her small bowl, a wooden object in her hands as she ground the plant from before. I wanted to shake my head at her, that I wasn't going to return to seeable when she looked up again at me before muttering a quiet, please.
I don't know what inside of me said that revealing myself for this woman was a good idea but something inside of me did, and within a couple of seconds, I slowly returned to being visible. Slowly to keep my foster siblings invisible.
She smiled when she saw me for the first time. I knew she was only able to sense me before. She seemed to scan me over once with her eyes before she glanced back at me, her eyes questioning me.
"Why are you here?" She asked, looking around the room as if it would reveal the answer to her question. "I don't see anything in this room that would draw you from outside of the pack house, so you came in for another reason, what would that reason be if you don't mind me asking?" She sat the wooden grinder down, stepping away from the table, dusting her hands on her pants.
I hesitated for a moment. I didn't know this person. For all I know she would be working with the werewolves that kidnapped Byrnn. She could tell everyone that I was here, that people were in the pack house, that the enemy was here. Something stopped me from believing that though. Deep inside my head, I trusted this woman for an unknown reason. An instinct that she meant me no harm.
