I remained in Mitchell's arms for a few seconds, staring shocked at the space where Grace was once standing, only looking to see her run out of the room, flinging the doors open widely, and rushing away. I was shocked at the sudden turn of events. Heck, I was more than just shocked at this point.

I can't believe she'd call me the freak when she just tried to attack me, fully intended to cause me bodily harm. If her claw had struck, she would have done just that. She's lucky she didn't actually hurt me, I'm not sure who would have been more furious, my brothers or Welfen. It was something I'd hopefully never have to figure out. I looked back at Mitchell, who seemed to get the hint and sat me back down in the chair. I can't wait for the numbness to go away, for me to be back at one-hundred percent. Because I can't handle having to be carried because my legs wouldn't do their damn job!

In an instant, Welfen jumped out of his chair, the force causing the seat to fall to the ground, a crash noise echoing across the office. I could only turn for a second to catch a glimpse of him running out of the room, most likely to hunt Grace back down. I slumped back into the seat, looking at my brothers.

"I don't like her," Brynn said, leaning his back against the desk, sitting with his legs crossed on the floor. He looked bored and uncomfortable; I can understand, though. Being stuck around a species you've been life long enemies with? That sounds like a whole struggle by itself and to make matters worse. These people had kidnapped him. I wouldn't want to be around any of them. He's strong to keeping his composure like this, but I could tell he wants to be anywhere but here.

"Neither do I," Mitchell said, agreeing with Brynn. "People like her are better off if they keep their mouths shut."

"People like her?" I asked, not completely understanding that she fit into a group of people. Mitchell nodded his head, sighing slightly, sitting in the other chair, the chair Grace had been sitting in moments earlier before going crazy on us.

"People like her are the ones who all talk and no game, she's going to get into some big trouble if she continues to act like that," Mitchell said, looking towards the door. I half expected her to come running back in and start screaming that he was wrong because that seemed like the type of thing that she would do. She didn't, though.

Mitchell was right. We had only met today, and she was already someone I didn't want to be around. She made things uncomfortable, acting all big and tough. I think she wants to be seen as someone important because she seemed to talk down to me like I wasn't worth a second of her time. She was choosing to be mean instead of nice.

She's fake, that was all I needed to know. From the fake tears to lies, everything I've seen her do was lie and act. I wouldn't be able to handle being around her. If she was mean now, would she be worse if Welfen managed to get her back in the office? The answer was probably. I couldn't imagine her being nice to anyone, let alone me.

"She seems used to getting her way," Brynn said, shuttering. She kind of reminded me of the girls back at our home. A vast majority of them thought they deserved more than everyone else, and it showed in their bratty and selfishness.

"She probably is," I said quietly. I didn't want to talk about her anymore. Thinking about her reminded me that she had once dated my mate and made me wonder what he ever really saw in her. She wasn't in any way the type of person I honestly expected Welfen would date, and I thought hard about this. I had figured he was straight, so I imagined him with a cute girl, someone who was smart, but not braggy about it. Someone who was independent, but could rely on a guy if needed.

Someone who wasn't me.

The room went quiet, and all we heard was my breathing, as neither one of my brothers seemed to make noise when they did. The room stayed quiet until the loud voice of Grace filled the silence. All I could hear was her voice as she seemed to scream out in protest, demanding that Welfen release her.

I personally don't think she is in any position to demand anything.

Welfen eventually walked back into the room, tugging on Grace's arm to keep her from running away. She was screaming loudly, looking crazier than before. Welfen had to drag her into the room, slamming the door behind him. The moment Welfen let go of her upper arm, she turned to glare at him, her hands forming into fists.

"I DON'T WANT TO BE IN HERE WITH THAT FREAK!!" She screamed loudly, making me flinch. Her attractive features fading as her anger formed. Her make-up left stains on her cheeks from her earlier crocodile tears. Both Mitchell and Brynn got into attention upon hearing the words she said. I tensed as well, looking at her with cautious eyes. Who knows with this girl, she could start swinging her claws at us or attempt to maul me to death. The anger in her eyes showed me that she just might try.

"Shut your mouth and sit down," Welfen said, pointing to where Mitchell was sitting. Mitchell stood up and offered the seat to her, a glint in his eyes as well. He looked like he would rather do anything but give his seat to her. I don't blame him, with all she's done today.

Instead of just sitting down like a good girl, and shutting her mouth, Grace decided to test the very fragile limits.

"I don't want to sit next to that fre-!" Before she could even finish saying the word, Welfen's hands wrapped around Grace's throat, squeezing tightly. She gasped, her hands reaching up to attempt to remove his hands.

"Shut your damn mouth and stop calling MY MATE a bloody freak," Welfen said, tightening his hold on her throat. He dragged her over to the seat and shoved her into it. The moment his hands released her, she gasped in breaths. Her face had been turning red. "Don't test my patience," Welfen said, a growl in the back of his throat.

No one moved. Grace looked at Welfen in shock and fear, her eyes locked on him, much like my own.

"Now what?" Brynn asked quietly, his eyes on Grace with fear. Her displays of wolfiness were probably scaring him.

"Now we wait for the alpha," Welfen said, crossing his arms over his chest, smirking at Grace. "He's not going to like this one bit, Grace."

Not one bit at all.
