Chapter 7 The Party

Me, Bianca, and Liam walk into Wilde's house to see the party in full blast. "I hate parties" I say, "And I really hate you right now." "También te amo" Bianca says, "Relax and let loose, have some fun." (Love you too) "Looks like someone forgot to take out all the trash" Marissa says walking up hand in hand with Kevin. "What do you want Marissa" I ask. "You and your posse of losers to leave" Marissa says. "Not happening" Bianca says, "I'll remind since you seem to have forgotten, Dak here is the guest of honor." Marissa glares at us and clenches her jaw."

Is someone upset that their plan backfired" Bianca asks smirking. "Shut up bitch" Marissa says. "Zuko, my man" Wilde says walking up and throwing his arm over my shoulder, "You made it." "Not like I had a choice" I mumble. "Make sure you stay for the announcement later tonight" Wilde says as if I didn't say anything, "Now go and enjoy your party. I'll see you later." Wilde walks off. Marissa rolls her eyes and drags Kevin off somewhere.

We look around and see people dancing, hanging out, playing beer pong, and making out. "So" I say. "I'm thirsty" Liam says, "I'm going to get a drink, anyone else want a drink?" I shake my head no and Bianca nods. Liam walks off. "I'll be right back" I say and Bianca nods. I walk into the house trying to find a place to breath. I end up walking upstairs and see a door leading to a porch. I open the door and see no one else. I step outside and lean against the railing. I take a deep breath and look around.

I have been outside for about twenty minutes when I hear someone asks, "Penny for your thought?" I turn around and see Maddison. I give her a smile and turn back around. Maddison joins me and offers me a cup of alcohol. "No thanks" I say, "I don't drink." "Its water" Maddison says. I ask, "And how do I know that you didn't slip something in it?" "Please" Maddison says, "If I wanted to get someone in bed with me, I would either blackmail them with a secret they want to stay a secret or I would just say I want to sleep with them because they already like me."

She does have a point there, but I decide to have some fun and mess with her. "Well that only works if you have a secret" I say, "Or if they already like you." Maddison raises an eyebrow and challenges, "Who says I don't know one?" I challenge back, "Marissa beat you to the punch and told everyone my two secrets." "Oh, is that so" Maddison asks. "Yes" I say smiling knowing that I won this round. Maddison smirks and places the drinks on the railing. She walks up to me and whispers in my ear, "So the fact that your intersex isn't a secret?" My eyes widen and my mouth hangs open in shock.

Shit. How the hell does she know that? "I have my ways" Maddison whispers in my ear. I gulp, shit I said that out loud. Maddison takes a step back, "So do you want that drink or not?" I stare at her still in shock and nod my head. She flashes me the famous Maddison Stark smile and hands me a cup. I gulp down the whole cup in a few seconds. "You know you even had me fooled" Maddison says. I look at her, "What?" "I thought you were a guy" Maddison says, "There were a couple of moments there were I thought you were a girl, but I pushed those thoughts to the side."

"I, Dakota Zuko, fooled the famous Maddison Stark" I say, "Guess I can cross that off my bucket list." Maddison laughs, "Although you were terrible at hiding your major crush on me." "I don't know what you're talking about" I deny. Maddison rolls her eyes and says, "Your boner and love-sick puppy looks say otherwise." My face goes red and I look away. Maddison giggles and turns my head to face her. "You are something else Dakota" Maddison says. "Um...thanks" I say, "I think." "Your welcome" Maddison says.

 I glance down at her lips and gulp. Should I...I really want to. But this is the Maddison Stark, this could be some sick game to her. "I know you want to kiss me" Maddison whispers. I throw all caution to the wind and lean in. Our lips are centimeters apart and I can feel her breath on my lips. "Dak" Bianca says startling me and Maddison. I back away and look down at the ground scratching the back of my neck. "Bingo..." I say, "What's up?" "I've been looking for you for half an hour" Bianca says. "Right..." I say. "I'll see you later Dakota" Maddison says walking back into the house, "Bye Bianca."

Once Maddison is gone, Bianca slaps my head. "Oww" I say holding the spot she slapped, "What was that for?" "Are you stupid" Bianca asks. "No...I don't think so...no" I say but it comes out as more of a question. "Well right now you definitely are" Bianca says. "Are you trying to tell me something in your own personal Bianca Lingo way" I ask. "Bianca rolls her eyes and says, "That's Maddison Stark." I look at Bianca confused and say, "Yeah...I know who that is. What's your point exactly?" "Well then you know how she became popular" Bianca says, "I just don't want you to get hurt by her."

I smile and pull Bianca into a hug. Bianca hugs me back. "Thank you, Bianca," I say, "But I got this." "Ok" Bianca says. We separate from the hug and stare off into the night. "Besides" I say, "Its kinda a little late for that." Bianca asks, "What do you mean?" I say, "She knows about my massive crush on her-" "I told you to be more subtle" Bianca says. I roll my eyes, "Whatever Bianca. Anyways she knew because of the looks and...my boner."

"What" Bianca asks confused. "What" I ask. "That doesn't make any sense" Bianca says, "You made sure to hide that when you were somewhere public or hanging out with anyone besides me and your family." "Then how did-" I ask but stop talking when I know the answer, "Marissa." "Esa perra" Bianca says, "But how the hell did she find out?" (That bitch) "I have no idea" I say, "Great...just great." "Don't worry we will figure out something" Bianca says, "Come on, we should head back inside. Wilde will probably be making the big announcement soon."
