Chapter 13 Pre Homecoming Party

I park my car in front of Roses house and turn it off. Taking a deep breath, I step out of my car and knock on her door. A few seconds later, a girl answers the door. I smile and say, "I'm Dakota, I'm her to pick up Rose." The girl smiles and says, "Hello Dakota, I'm Rose." "Are you ready" I ask. "Yep" Rose says. She grabs her purse and locks the door. We walk to my car and I open the door for her. She smiles and gets in. I then get in and drive to Wilde's house.

We arrive and walk in. I look around for my friends, but don't see any of them. "Do you want a drink" I ask over the music. Rose nods her head instead of trying to talk and I walk to the kitchen to grab some drinks. While grabbing some drinks, I hear, "Zuko my man." "Hey Wilde" I say turning around. "Two drink...wait" Wilde says, "Did you bring a date?" "Yep" I reply. "Finally, man" Wilde says. "Um...thank you" I say, "I think." "Where is she" Wilde asks."

Talking to Amber" I say pointing in their direction. "Oh..." Wilde says, "Um...I have to...I'll see you around." I say as Wilde walks away, "Bye...?" I shake my head and walk over to Amber and Rose. "Here" I say handing Rose her drink. "Thanks" Rose says, "I'll be right back." Rose walks off. "So, I see you brought Rose as your date. What do you think of her" Amber asks. I reply, "She...seems cool." "Hey Dakota" I hear Maddison say from behind me.

I turn around to greet her but freeze when I see Maddison. My eyes go wide and my mouth is slightly open. All I can think is woah as my eyes look her up and down. Maddison is breath taking. She is wearing one of the dresses that we looked at when we went shopping for homecoming. Once I realize I've been staring for a little too long I say, "You look amazing Maddison." "Thanks" Maddison says flashing me her famous Maddison Stark smile, "You don't look to bad yourself."

"Well you can thank Bianca and Liam for that" I reply. Maddison laughs, "Figures." "Hey" Rose says returning from wherever she went. Time to put the plan into action. "Who's this" Maddison asks. "Rose this is Maddison" I say, "Maddison this is Rose...my date." "Nice to meet you" Rose says smiling. I watch Maddison and wait for her reaction. She stares at Rose for a few seconds before smiling, "Nice to meet you too. I should get going, my friends are waiting for me."

Maddison walks off. Uhh...I guess Maddison doesn't like me. Well this sucks. "You want to dance" Rose asks knocking me out of my thoughts. Before I can even answer her, she grabs my hand and drags me to the dance floor. She starts to what I'm guessing is dancing on me, but it feels more like she is grinding on me. This makes me very uncomfortable. I try to push her off me gently or back away but nothing is working.  After about three songs, I spot Bianca off to the side.

I wait for Bianca to notice me, then motion for her to help me without Rose seeing. After a few tries, Bianca finally gets it. She walks over, "Dak, there you are. Me and Liam have been looking for you everywhere." Rose finally stops and looks at Bianca. "You must be Rose" Bianca says, "I'm Bianca, Dak's best friend." "Nice to meet you" Rose says. "If you don't mind" Bianca says, "I'm going to steal Dak away for a few minutes." "No" Rose says, "Go ahead."

Me and Bianca walk off. Once we are out of ear shot of Rose, I turn to Bianca and say, "Thank you." "No problem" Bianca says, "So, did Maddison and Rose meet?" "Yes" I reply, "But Maddison didn't have any kind of reaction." Bianca just stares at me and raises an eyebrow. "What" I asks, "She didn't. She just smiled and said it was nice to meet her." "Well not according to Liam and Wilde" Bianca says. "What are you talking about" I ask.

"Well according to Liam, Wilde, and Wilde's friends" Bianca says, "In the nicest words possible, Maddison is being a bitch to everyone." "Ya" I reply, "Maddison is the queen-" "No listen" Bianca says, "She came to this party smiling and in a good mood then the next minute she is glaring and yelling at everyone, for the littlest things." "Wait..." I say, "Are you saying...?"

"Yes" Bianca says, "That operation the set up was a success."
