Chapter 8 The Announcement

In honor of getting a hundred followers, I asked you guys what story you wanted a bonus update for. After tallying all the votes, She's My L.B.F. won. Enjoy this bonus update.

We walk back downstairs. "Wait" I say, "Where's Liam?" "I...I don't know" Bianca says, "Last time I saw him is when he went to go get a drink." "We should probably go look for him" I say, "Right?" "Probably" Bianca says. We start looking around for Liam. At one point we walk past the beer pong game. "Dakota" Amber says, "You made it." "Hey" I say. "Me and Dakota play the winners" Amber shouts. "I'm good" I say. "Booyah" I hear a guy say. I look over and see Kevin high five one of his friends.

"Let's see what you got Amber and Dakota" his friend says. "Oh look" Kevin says smirking, "It's the freak." I clench my jaw, "Dickhead." "What did you just call me" Kevin asks. A bunch of ooohs can be heard and a crowd forms. "What" I ask, "Too big of a word for you?" Kevin gets in my face and pokes me in the chest, "You want to go?" "You act all tough" I say, "But all you are is talk." "Is that so" Kevin asks and pushes me, "Bring it." I push him back, "Brung." "Stop it" his friend says, "We playing or what?"

Kevin smirks and says, "Why don't we make this interesting?" "I'm listening" I say. "Looser has to..." Kevin says, "Has to jump into the pool from the roof." "That's it" I ask unimpressed and raising my eyebrow. Kevin says, "Naked." My eyes widen and Bianca whispers, "Don't Dak." "Now who's the one that is all talk" Kevin asks. "Deal" I say. Shit, I better not loose now. The crowed goes crazy and I see Marissa smirking at me. Me and Amber go to our side while Kevin and his friend go to his. People setup the cups and fill them with beer. Someone then hands Kevin the ball.

Kevin tosses the ball and it lands in a cup. "Drink up freak" Kevin says. I grab the cup and look at the contents in disgust. How do people drink this, it smells like piss. I take a deep breath and begin to chug. About halfway through, I gag but push through it. I finish the cup and slam it on the table. I grab the ball and toss it into a cup. Kevin doesn't look happy, but he grabs the cup and chugs. Kevin's friend makes it and Amber drinks. Amber makes it and Kevin's friend drinks. This keeps going on until there is only one cup left and its Kevin's turn.

Kevin smirks and says, "Better start stripping now freak." Kevin tosses the ball and it goes dead silent. Everyone watches the ball sail through the air. The ball hits the inside of the cup and bounces out. Kevin's eyes go wide and he is mouth hangs open in shock. Everyone starts whispering to each other. I grab the ball and take a deep breath. I look around and see Maddison looking at me. She smiles and nods her head. I smile and toss the ball. The next thing I know is that I am being crushed to death and people cheering. I look over and see that I made it. The crowed begins to chant my name.

I see that Kevin is furious. Kevin's friend hands him the drink and Kevin knocks it out of his hand. Kevin flips the table and begins to walk out of the room. "I believe you have a bet to fulfill" Wilde says above the crowd. The crowd begins to cheer and walk to Wilde's backyard to watch. "This is bullshit" Kevin says as Wilde and his two friends drag Kevin to the roof. "Let's go" Liam says. "Where were you" I ask. "I got a drink and then you two had disappeared" Liam says, "So I was trying to find you." I see Maddison walking over.

"You two go" I say, "I'll catch up." Liam wiggles his eyebrows while Bianca looks hesitant but drags Liam off. "I knew you were going to win" Maddison says. "Did you now" I ask. "I'm glad that you put him in his place" Maddison says, "Maybe now he won't be as big of an asshole." "I highly doubt that" I say, "Once an asshole, always an asshole." "True" Maddison says, "Now lets get out there, this is something I don't want to miss." We walk outside and see basically everyone has their phones out.

A few minutes later Wilde and his two friends walk out holding Kevin's clothes and people start chanting, "Jump jump jump." The figure of Kevin can be seen running towards the edge of the roof and then jumping off. He lands in the pool and resurfaces. Kevin pumps his fist in the air and the crowd cheers. Marissa hands him a towel after he climbs out and the crowd begins to disperse. "Come on Zuko" Wilde says slinging his arm over my shoulder, "Its time for the big announcement." Wilde drags me back inside and over to the stairs. He releases me and climbs to the landing. "Yo" Wilde yells. Everyone stops talking and looks over.

"I would like to introduce someone, the guest of honor" Wilde says, "Delaware Zuko." I get pushed up the stairs by Wilde's friends while basically everyone cheers. Once the cheering stops, Maddison says, "Its Dakota you idiot." Everyone laughs and Wilde glares at Maddison while she smirks. "Anyway, this is Zuko" Wilde says, "As many of you know, was outed this morning by none other than Marissa...something." I try not to laugh and I see Bianca and Liam doing the same thing. "Its Marissa Grace" Marissa says walking up, "How do you not know that, but know the dykes name?"

I roll my eyes and mutter, "Jealous much?" People begin to boo Marissa and a few cheer her on. I see Wilde reading something on his phone and he smirks. Wilde quiets the crowd down and then looks at Marissa, "Word on the street is that you want to be homecoming queen." "I do and running with me is Kevin" Marissa says. "Anyways as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted" Wilde says looking at Marissa, "A lot of you have probably at one point or another bullied or made Zuko not feel welcome. And now you feel bad about it." The crowd nods or cheers. "So, to show Zuko here that we are sorry and sincere about it" Wilde says, "I say we elect Zuko homecoming king." My head snaps up and my eyes go wide as I look at Wilde. The crowd goes crazy and I hear my last name being chanted.

Marissa is furious and glaring at Wilde. Once everyone calms down, Marissa says, "Doesn't Dakota need someone to run with." For once I'm glad Marissa opened her big mouth and had to have the last word. "Thanks for reminding me" Wilde says smiling, "Zuko does." "Where is she then" Marissa asks crossing her arms and raising her eyebrow. "Its Maddison Stark" Wilde says. "What" I exclaim. Are you kidding me? First, I'm forced into running for something I don't even want and now the person I'm running with is my crush. You know what, I take back what I said about Marissa, why does she always have to open her big mouth?
