Name: Evangeline Lore
Age: Eighty-seven
Gender: Female
Appearance: Unsurprisingly, Evangeline looks neither younger not older than she is. While most women try to hide their age (quite pathetically, if you ask her) using makeup and hair dye, she spurns such things, preferring to let her natural beauty speak for itself. It is obvious in her smile and in her grass-tinted eyes that she used to be stunning. Though she has shrunk a fair bit since her prime, Evangeline hasn't let her body fall to abuse. Instead, she stays as thin as a toothpick. Her hair is styled in an elegantly short cut and is a pure white.
Personality: Hardened by the years, Evangeline is very much the caricature of the grizzled elderly woman, stuck to her beliefs and unwilling to believe she can be wrong. However, under that lies what she hates to admit is a strong sense of empathy and compassion. She is easily attached to anybody who will show a spark of promise, be it morally or intellectually. Had she gone to university, Evangeline knows she could've been a scientific genius. However, working as a schoolteacher tended to her more nurturing side.
Background: Born in a rich family during the early 20th century, Evangeline was one of the few women of her generation lucky enough to get a secondary education. She was, however, then told she'd had as much education as a woman should be comfortable with, and then became a schoolteacher. There, she met her husband, Jeremy (may he rest in peace). She had one son with him, Jordan, who gave her one blessed grandson: Richard. She retired twenty-seven years ago, though still stops by her school every now and then to help.
Fears: Evangeline does not fear much anymore - there's no point. However, there's one thing that still sends shivers down her spine: the thought of a world without order. When sin is rampant and society loses faith, then she will tremble in fear.
Other:
- She has a cane and isn't afraid to use it. Back when she was a schoolteacher, she wasn't afraid of corporal punishment if necessary.
- She actually loathes carnival; she took her grandson so she could talk to him about certain... habits... of his. She always said he'd be the death of her.
