Chapter 2

Your Pov

I came out of the toilet to find Ryuzaki standing right outside, staring at me with his wide, dark eyes.

"Whoa! Ryuzaki! You scared me there" I giggle nervously.

"Sorry" he simply replied. "Shall we get going now? We're already late enough. Let's go."

He then made his way back down the hallway to the classroom. I follow him.

"We're in this classroom today" Ryuzaki says, pointing to the door of a classroom.
"We're not in this room all the time, but don't worry I'll let you know when we change rooms."

"Alright then" I say.

L's Pov

I open the door to the classroom and the two of us walk in.

"Sorry we're late" I say.

The class all turn their heads towards us.

"H-Hi everyone" (Y/N) says shyly. "My name is (Y/N) (L/N) and I'm the new transfer student for this college course. It's nice to meet all of you."

(Y/N) smiles sweetly which makes me smile a little too.

The class all greet (Y/N) before returning to their work.

"Hi (Y/N)!" A blonde girl runs over to her and grabs (Y/N)'s hands, which caused me to flinch a little.

"My name is Misa Amane. I hope we can be good friends!"

"Yeah! We can be great friends!" (Y/N) smiled.

"You should avoid human contact with (Y/N) right now" I say, taking Misa's hands away from (Y/N)'s. "She's new. She might feel uncomfortable."

"Oh right! Sorry!" Misa said, laughing nervously.

"No that's okay. I wasn't uncomfortable Ryuzaki!" (Y/N) says.

'I know you weren't. I just didn't want Misa touching you for some reason.'

"Hello again (Y/N)-"

"Light Yagami?!" (Y/N) shouts in surprise at Light's presence.

"Good to see you too" Light scoffed.

"How do you two know each other?" Misa and I ask.

"We went to the same high school and were in most of the same classes together" Light said, folding his arms.

"We...were a couple for a year before Light decided to break up with me" (Y/N) sighed sadly.

'Why? Why would Light do that?!' I thought. 'I guess he's always been such a sick bastard!'

"Oh, I never knew that. You never told me you had a previous girlfriend before me" Misa said to Light.

"It's alright though, because we've moved on and we're good friends now! Light just never told me he was doing this course in college too" (Y/N) said.

"I didn't tell you because I knew you were into the same thing, and I didn't want to risk you being in my class. But now look what's happened!" Light said.

(Y/N) looked down at the floor in shame.

'So they aren't good friends as (Y/N) says. She's lying to hide the pain of losing him' I thought. 'Don't worry (Y/N). I'll make sure you're happy again!'

"H-Hey, let's not be like that!" Misa says, trying to lighten the mood. "Since you're here now (Y/N), how about I inform you of what we're doing today huh?"

Misa then took (Y/N) away from Light and I and sat her at a desk before explaining the work we had to do today.

I notice Light sigh and shake his head.
