Chapter 3

Your Pov

Alone I sat in one of the female toilets, trying to calm myself down.

"Calm down (Y/N)! There's no reason for me to panic! Light's not a part of my life anymore, so I shouldn't be afraid of him or worry about him!"

This definitely wasn't how I wanted my first day to go...

I felt so bad for running off and leaving Ryuzaki. He looked worried too.

I sigh and try to pull myself together.

"I should go and apologise to Ryuzaki for running off like that" I say quietly to myself as I pick up my backpack and leave the bathroom.

But as I open the door to leave, I was greeted by Ryuzaki standing right outside.

"GAHH! Ryuzaki...! Don't stand right outside the girl's bathroom! That's weird!" I state.

"I apologise. I just got worried about what happened earlier. You seemed really upset and I just want to make sure you're okay" he replied.

"Oh. Well, that's nice of you to say. I'm okay now. I just sorta freaked out. I'm sorry for running off like that. It's not like me to do that. I am very sorry!"

L's Pov

(Y/N) bowed to me.

'She's so kind.'

"There's nothing you need to apologise for. I understand why you did what you did. I'm just happy to see that you're alright" I smile.

"Thank you for looking out for me" (Y/N) smiles back. "That's very nice of you."

I glance down at my watch.

"We should head back to class now. We'll get in a lot of trouble if we're late" I say.

"Oh, alright then" (Y/N) says, sliding her bag on her shoulders.

I take a hold of (Y/N)'s hand.

"Are you sure you're okay? I know we just met today, but everyone in my class is important to me, you know. And since you're new, I want to make sure you have a fun time at this college" I say to her.

I notice she starts to blush. How cute. It made me smile.

"Y-Yeah! I'm okay! Thank you for saying such nice things!" She smiles back.

"Of course. Well, let's head back."

I don't let go of (Y/N)'s hand and I lead her back to class.

"R-Ryuzaki! You don't need to hold my hand!" She says, although I took no notice of what she said. I want to hold her hand. Her soft hand. I can feel her smooth skin.

Does she use some kind of special soap or hand gel to make her hands so soft and smooth? I'd really like to know...!

"I don't want you to get lost. You still haven't gotten this place figured out yet. So I want you to stay close to me until you do, okay?"

Your Pov

Why is he so generous?

I feel my cheeks heat up by our current situation but I remain quiet until we reach our class.

-Later-

"So class! I'd like you all to work through these worksheets. These will help with your upcoming project we will be starting. It's very simple, so I expect you all to finish it by the end of class! Now get to work!"

'It's very simple my ass!' I thought as I stare at the worksheet in front of me.

'How do I even do this?! How would I structure my sentences?'
