Chapter 4

Light's Pov

I headed into my kitchen to get some food. I open my cupboards and saw a bag of potato chips sitting there, waiting to be eaten.

"Sayu won't mind if I eat these, right?" I ask myself.

I shrug and grab the chips.

"Man, it's really hot in here" I say as I open the kitchen window, before going into my living room to watch TV.

"I shouldn't have said all those mean things to (Y/N)...Now I feel bad. I guess I'm just not fully over her yet. But she can be quite annoying though" I sigh.

L's Pov

Alone I stand outside the Yagami household, making sure that no one would see me...

'The only reason I'm doing this, is for (Y/N). She needs to be protected...'

I creeped inside through the open window...

Light's Pov

"There's nothing on the TV..." I sigh, slouching on the sofa as I flick through the channels.

I eventually turned off the TV and decided to go upstairs to my room.

As I was heading upstairs, I soon heard a strange sound that made me stop in my tracks.

Sounded like...something was boiling in a pot...

"Strange...I don't remember seeing anyone in the kitchen earlier..." I say to myself as I head back downstairs to see what was going on.

"Mom? Are you home?" I ask as I open the kitchen door.

Nothing...

No one was in this kitchen. I tried switching the light back on but it wasn't working. It was like someone had smashed the lightbulb or something...

"What the hell?!"

I could barely see from the darkness. The open window made the curtains sway in the wind. Kinda creepy too.

"Who's there?!" I shout. "I know someone's in my house! Show yourself!!"

I didn't have any weapons or anything. All I had was a mop. I decided to use that anyway. I grabbed the mop and looked all around to see if I could spot anyone.

I couldn't see anyone...

I was beginning to get a little bit more creeped out.

After a while of just looking around, I then make myself believe that no one is there and I put down the mop.

"I should turn off the stove or it's gonna badly burn this place" I state, heading over to the stove.

"Who would break into my house anyway?! I haven't done anything wrong!"

"Wait..."

It was at that moment I felt a hand grip onto my hair.

"AAAARGH!!" I wail.

The hand then tried to push my face into the boiling pot!! I did my best to fight it. I gripped onto it's wrist with both my hands and twisted as hard as I could, until I believed it hurt whoever it was.

But that didn't stop them!

They grabbed onto me with their other hand and pushed my face into the boiling pot.

I was kicking and screaming, trying so hard to break free! But the burning was really hurting and the hand wouldn't let me go.

And I was certain that hand belonged to Ryuzaki...
