Four years ago...
Starfish looks at him. His black and white fur shining silver in the moon light. "HURRY UP, SEA!!" She says, her hazel eyes gleaming with terror.
Behind Sea, are two black beasts. They are actually the same type of animal as Starfish, but these animals are more wild, less caring, and very vicious. Their clumsy paw steps can be heard; normally, cats' are graceful, but these wild creatures have lost far too much of their sanity long ago. They've lost their cat like agility.
"You killed our son!!!" hisses one of them. "YOU WILL PAY!!!!"
"I'M SORRY!! OKAY?! We just happened to be there when he was hit by those falling rocks!!!" Starfish shouts back.
Sea's legs pump as fast as they can, but not fast enough. The evil creatures gain on him. The black cats' wings flap in order to help them run faster. Sea vanishes under the black fur of the raging animals. Starfish can hear Sea's screams even after she jumps into the water, swimming down, down, down, into the lake, safe at last.
However, Starfish doesn't feel safe. She feels sadness. Sea wasn't only a friend, but her love, her mate; and now he is gone. Gone forever.
